"So, are you ready to go home, Scotty?" Avi asked when they got on the bus after their concert in Wichita/Kansas. They sat down on the sofa in the main lounge, smiling at Kaleb who was on the phone with his girlfriend. Noah was nowhere to be seen, but he hadn't been feeling too good and was probably already in his bunk.

Scott nodded. "Definitely," he said softly. "I am so happy that Miles is pulling an all-nighter so we'll be in Arlington for breakfast." He sighed softly. "I'm just so looking forward to hugging my Mom, my Dad and just everyone. It's been a while."

Avi smiled at his boyfriend. "I'm happy for you, too," he said.

"And you're still joining me?" Scott wanted to know. "You don't have to, you know that but I called Mum earlier and she reinforced that you are invited and very welcome. And you don't have to stay in their house, we could get a hotel room..."

But Avi just shook his head. "I'm looking forward to meeting your family, Scott and I really want to spend a night in a room that isn't a hotel room or a bunk bed. Where I can leave the room and still be in a private place."

Scott grinned. "Well my bedroom it is then," he said.

Avi hummed. "Mmhm... I am wondering if I get to see some pictures of little Scotty."

"Probably. They're all over the house" Scott said bemused.

"Good to know" Avi grinned at his boyfriend and then looked at his phone. "Urgh, almost 1 am. Would you mind if I headed straight to bed?"

"Not at all," Scott said. "I will go to bed soon, too. Just want to text Mum real quick after talking to Miles about how long we'll need. "He yawned. "Damn, the third show in the row is always the hardest, to be honest, even for someone who is not on stage."

Avi smiled. "I get that," he said. "Anyway. I'll see you in the morning." He leaned over and kissed Scott's lips softly. "Good night, dear."

Scott smiled back at him. "Good night, Avi."

He looked after Avi with a smile and then over to Kaleb, who was just finishing his call.

"He's getting more used to this every day," the musician spoke up.

Scott smiled and nodded. "That's true," he said. "And I am glad that Miles knows about us, too. And that Avi didn't panic when I told him..."

Kaleb smiled. "He truly is working on himself" he commented and smiled.

Scott smiled happily. "He is and it makes me so happy."

"Scott? Hey, Scotty, it's time to get up."

Scott stirred when he heard the soft voice of his boyfriend right next to his head. "Hmm?"

Avi smiled at him. "We'll arrive in 30 minutes," he said softly.

"I... need to call my Dad, he's picking us up..." Scott said and sat up. "But why are we there so early? I set an alarm."

"Miles is dropping us off right in Arlington," Avi explained. "He's early and this little detour means that he won't be stuck in traffic when driving into Dallas. That's what he said, maybe he just wants to be nice..."

Scott stretched out his arms. "Miles is an angel," he said. "I'll go talk to him and then I'll text my parents. Meet you in the lounge?"

"Sure." Scott smiled at his boyfriend and then got up slowly. He talked to Miles, their driver and then sat down on the sofa, texted his parents and waited for Avi.

"Hi," Avi said softly as he sat down next to him. "What's the plan?"

"Miles will drop us off five minutes from my home, the house is in a dead-end street, and I don't know if it is possible to turn the bus so easily. We'll walk to my parents' place and have a huge breakfast, then a nap and then I would go for a lazy day at the pool with the family. My sisters will come over sometime, my nephew will be there... just a relaxed day off, if this is what you want?"

Avi smiled. "Definitely," he said happily. "No plans sound nice for a change. And a pool? Awesome!"

Scott nodded. "It is."

The brunette laid his head onto Scott's shoulder. "Do I need to get changed? Put on some nice clothes?"

Scott shook his head. "Not at all. You're looking cute in these little sweatshirts and your own merch."

Avi smiled. "Thank you," he said and looked at Scott. "You're looking good in my merch, too."

Scott looked down at himself and grinned. "True..." He fell silent again and looked out of the window.

"That smile on your face..." Avi said after a while. "Childhood memories?"

Scott nodded. "I really love living in LA, but this is my hometown. There are so many memories in every single corner." He sighed softly. "We should get our stuff, we'll be there in five minutes."

Miles dropped them off at the corner and Scott took a deep breath. "Home..." he said and looked to Avi. "Come on."

They waved at Miles as they left. Kaleb and Noah were still in their bunks, sleeping tight.

"This is a very nice neighbourhood," Avi remarked.

"Yeah," Scott said. "Rather conservative, but very calm and wonderful for children. I enjoyed growing up here."

"I get that," Avi said. He walked beside his boyfriend and noticed that the blonde was walking quicker. He didn't say anything, though, he was so happy to see Scott that excited.

"This is it," Scott finally said and walked up to a nice detached house. He turned around to Avi. "Are you okay?"

Avi smiled. "I am. Ready to meet your parents and even more ready for breakfast and a nap." He followed his boyfriend up the porch and felt that he was getting nervous when Scott rang the doorbell. He waited patiently and watched as his boyfriend hugged both of his parents tightly before he turned to him.

"Mum? Dad? This is Avi, my boyfriend. Avi? These are my Mum and Dad."

Avi smiled brightly at the couple. "Hello, Mr Hoying, hello Mrs Hoying" he greeted them.

"Conny and Rick, please, let's not make this difficult" Scott's mother greeted him. "It's nice to finally meet you, come in, you're probably exhausted."

"And I hope you're hungry. Your mother went all out" Rick said.

Conny smiled. "I need to spoil the boys a little bit," she said. "Do you want to head upstairs and fresh up? Breakfast will be ready in fifteen."

"Would be lovely, the bathroom on the bus is not that nice," Scott said. He suppressed a yawn. "Sorry." He turned to his boyfriend. "Come on, I'll show you around."

Avi followed him upstairs and then into a room on the right. "This is my room. Or this was my room. My parents kept it when I moved to LA, just in case. Once I am finished with my studies and certain about my future, we'll turn this room into a guest room or hobby room," Scott said and put down his duffel bag. "The bathroom is straight across. Do you want to go first?"

"No... you can go. I'll look around" Avi replied and smiled.

Scott grinned. "Okay, I'll be quick."

Once Scott had left, Avi looked through the room. He saw a huge collage on one of the walls and looked at it. The pictures were old, some of them already fading, but Avi could make out Scott, Mitch and another young girl, who was on most of the pictures, too. Avi was sure that it was Kirstie.

Once he was done he threw himself down on the bed. It was a smaller one, Queen sized. The nights would be cuddly, but Avi didn't mind at all. He felt comfortable in this room and with Scott's parents and was looking forward to a relaxing day far away from the tour and the hassle. He sighed softly and closed his eyes, just for a moment.
