Night

"It's getting too dark, I can't see them anymore..." Scott said after a while.

"And it's getting chilly..." Avi replied. "But the sun and the rabbits will be back tomorrow. And if you want to, we can really go on a nice walk tomorrow. We'll see lots of birds, maybe some chipmunks, skunks and if we get lucky there might be some deers, but they usually stay away from people."

Scott smiled. "I'm looking forward to it already." He felt his boyfriend shudder in his arms. "That cold?" He asked.

"Mmhm, ready to snuggle up in bed if you ask me..." Avi said.

Scott chuckled. "I agree. But I have to get my bag... why don't you warm the bed for me?"

Avi smiled. "Wonderful plan."

"Good" Scott replied. He let go of his boyfriend and grabbed his mug and book on the way back into the cabin.

"If you get your things, could you lock the front door when you get back?" Avi said. He grabbed his keys. "This is the one."

Scott nodded. "Sure. Bedroom and bathroom are upstairs?"

Avi grinned. "They are. I mean we could sleep in a tent. But I don't think that you'll close one eye with everything going on in the forest."

"No. No tent. I'll take the bedroom" Scott said as he took the keys from his boyfriend. He went outside and quickly got his bag out of the car, locked the front door and then went up the stairs, curious to see how Avi had set up his bedroom.

"Oh wow," Scott said when he stepped into the room for the first time. Almost everything in there was made of wood. Walls, floor, wardrobe and the bed. But it wasn't too much, it was just cosy. The bed was king-sized and had only one big duvet.

"You like it?"

Scott turned around when he heard his boyfriend's voice. "Yeah... it's so cosy in here. And the bed looks so inviting."

"Thank you," Avi said. "I realised that we only have one blanket, though. I didn't think about it. I hope you don't mind."

Scott chuckled. "I don't mind snuggling up under the blanket with my boyfriend," he said. He stifled a yawn. "I should get ready for bed. The bathroom is over there?"

Avi nodded. "Yeah," he said. "I'll warm the bed for you."

Scott only took a few minutes to get ready. He was a little tired and looking forward to having Avi's in his arms or vice versa. Still, he took some time to take in the bathroom. It was spacious, had a big freestanding bathtub in the centre and a walk-in shower in the corner.

"That bathroom is really amazing," Scott remarked when he walked back into the bedroom. "That tub might be able to fit giant me."

Avi chuckled. "It really is nice. You could try it out tomorrow, I love taking a nice bath after a day outside."

"Mmhm" Scott hummed. He crawled into the bed and got comfortable next to his boyfriend. "Hi."

Avi smiled brightly. "Hi" he replied and softly reached out his hand to run it through his boyfriend's hair. "It's so good to have you next to me..."

Scott nodded. "It is so good to be next to you" he replied. "Under this big blanket."

"Mhm..." Avi hummed and snuggled closer to Scott.

The blonde ended up on his back with Avi on his chest.

"You really built a wonderful cabin..." Scott said as he looked out of the huge window into the nightly forest.

Avi smiled. "Thank you," he said. "Well, the exterior was already there and it was furnished, but everything was just so old. It was a lot of work, but I'm done now."

Scott smiled. "It turned out beautifully," he said. "And even though it is so small from the outside you made so much of it. I was wondering, though, don't you have a guest room? I expected there to be two bedrooms up here. What about visitors?"

"I don't get visitors here, Scott. In fact, only a few people know that I have a cabin and only Esther knows where it is. Well... Esther and you" Avi explained.

"A-Avi? Are you for real? You are sharing this with me?" Scott asked.

Avi looked up at him. "Of course I am, Scotty. Why wouldn't I?"

"I am the only one besides Esther who knows about the safe haven you built yourself. This feels huge to me" Scott said softly.

"Maybe, but then again it makes sense, doesn't it? This is my safe haven as you put it and you are my safe haven as well" Avi replied. "I trust you, Scott. And I am glad that you're here now." He laid his head down onto his boyfriend's chest and closed his eyes. "Because I am so comfortable with you."

"You don't know how much this means to me, Avi. You're wonderful." He looked down and smiled when he noticed that the bearded man was sleepy and he reached over to turn off the lights.

"Mmhm thanks" Avi mumbled. "Good night."

Scott leaned down and pressed a soft kiss onto his boyfriend's temple. "Good night, Love."

"Good morning..." Avi said softly when he felt Scott stir beside him.

"Morning. What time is it?" Scott asked. He stifled a yawn and snuggled up into the blanket.

Avi chuckled. "Just after eight."

"Are you kidding me? Why are we awake already?" Scott asked.

"Because we went to bed around 11 and were asleep almost instantly. Not how I planned our first evening with you, but well..." Avi slightly shrugged his shoulders.

"How did you plan the night?" Scott asked.

"More time for us? Maybe go all the way if you want to?" Avi asked.

Scott turned on his side to face his boyfriend. "I really enjoyed last night with you. I am not opposed to taking this step with you. But I fear that we need to wait a while for this because I didn't take lube and condoms with me. That doesn't mean I can't satisfy you though."

"Well, I know that for a fact," Avi said and chuckled softly. "But... maybe we need to go to the store anyway? I think we're low on... bread?"

Scott shook his head. "You are so bad at lying, Avi," he said.

Avi pouted. "Can we go to the store after our walk? I feel silly, but I really want..."

Scott kissed Avi's lips softly to silence him. "Love you don't need to feel silly about it. Wanting to have sex is valid." He smiled at his boyfriend. "Avi, I want it, too. So much."

"Yeah?" Avi asked.

Scott nodded. "Of course, my dear."

"Hmm, what about your offer though?" Avi asked with a smirk on his face. "I promise that I'll return the favour."
