It was a half past ten the next morning when Avi entered the meeting room, a tray with tea from his favourite tea shop in one hand. "Good morning" he said. "I know that I am late, but I brought tea. Green tea for Kevin and sunny fruit tea for you Esther." He sat down the tea in front of his sister and pressed a soft kiss on her cheek.
"You are very cheerful today, do I want to know how your night was?" Esther wanted to know.
Avi grinned and shook his head. "Nope. You wouldn't want to know and I am not in the mood for a lecture." He sat down and took a sip of his tea. "So... what's on the schedule today?"
"Not much. We need to talk through the upcoming video shoot for I'll Get By, we got the date fixed for today in two weeks. Kevin already told me that you finished the song yesterday?" Esther asked, getting right to business.
"Yes" Avi replied. "I mean I still need to review it once more, but I doubt that we'll change much. So we're all set for the shoot."
"Good good" Esther said. I mean we already talked through the main idea and everything we need to shoot, so that's it for the video shoot. What you probably don't know yet is that on the same day, we'll shoot a little trailer for the album we'll upload it on social media and everything. It will basically just be snippets from the music video and a little interview about the album and your music in general."
                              Avi sighed. "Okay... what else?"
"Not much. You already know about signing the first 1000 EP's for those who pre-order their copy?" Esther asked, looking at her notepad.
"Sure. Where are we at right now?"
"We have reached 1000 last night. So you need to sign these 1000 copies" Esther explained.
"My hand is already hurting" Avi said jokingly and took a sip of his tea. "But the things you do for a little success..."
"Talking about success, Avi, you sold out half of the tour dates already. And for the rest there's only a few tickets left" Esther said. "We need to sit down next week and talk through the whole thing with the rest of the crew. And we finished the contracts with Kaleb and Noah, they're definitely coming."
Avi smiled brightly. "That's wonderful! I mean I was sure about Noah, but Kaleb said he had to check a few dates..."
"He did, but it is all good now" Esther explained.
"Thank you for taking care of everything. Do I need to come to the meeting next week?" Avi wanted to know.
Esther sighed. "Avi, I know that all you want to do is make music while Kevin and I take care of everything else, but you have to be present for some meetings. You need to know what is going on."
"You could just tell me afterwards?" Avi tried again.
"Okay, I will tell you everything about how we set up your stage" Kevin spoke up. "How about we'll move your microphone to the back and put the banner with the logo to the front? And maybe..."
"Got it. Important decisions. I'll be there" Avi interrupted him. He couldn't help but smile. "But still I am very thankful that you always try not to trouble me with countless meetings."
"Of course..." Kevin said. "By the way, we didn't get to talk, you were gone so fast. How did you get along with Scott? You really used the opportunity to get to know him."
Avi rolled his eyes. "You told me to be nice and I tried my very best to be nice. I still am not fond to have him in the studio."
"But he is so good. His analysis of the song was spot on. He is so talented. I think I should let him try to do the rough mix for the next song we'll record. Under supervision, of course" Kevin said excited.
