When Scott came back into his bedroom, he noticed that his boyfriend was sleeping. The blonde sighed softly and sat down on the edge of the bed. He didn't want to wake up his boyfriend, he needed his sleep after the past weeks, but then again, he also needed some good food. Plus, he knew that Avi would feel bad about missing breakfast with his family, because of his anxiety.
"Avi? Sweetheart?" Scott said softly and ran his hand through his boyfriend's hair and leaned down to kiss his cheek.
"Hmm?" Avi hummed and stirred softly. "Tired..."
"I know, Sweetheart" Scott said softly. "I just wanted to ask you, if you wanted to come downstairs for breakfast? If you don't want to, it's fine, we'll put some things away for you to snack on later."
Avi sighed and stretched out his arms over his head. "I want breakfast, yeah" he said softly. "But first I want to go to the bathroom. Right across, hmm?"
Scott smiled and nodded. "Yes, right across. Can't miss it. Mum laid out some towels for you."
Avi sat up and nodded. "Yeah" he said and stretched his arms out. "Thank you for waking me up, I'd hate to miss breakfast, I'm really hungry. He kissed Scott's cheek softly. "You can go downstairs if you wish to, Scott, I'll join you in a moment. I know that you want to spend time with your parents."
Scott smiled. "Thank you" he said and then turned away. He stopped when he reached the door and turned back around. "Are you okay, though? No anxiety?"
Avi shook his head. "No anxiety. Your parents are such nice people, I don't know why I would get anxious."
Scott nodded. "Good."
"Thank you for asking, though, I appreciate it a lot" Avi added. "Shows me how much you care for me."
Scott smiled. "You're welcome" he said before he finally left the room.
The blonde man went back downstairs into the kitchen where his parents sat at the table. They were having coffee and chatting softly.
"Hey" Scott said. "Avi will come down in a moment, he fell asleep and still wants to go to the bathroom real quick."
"You could have let him sleep and he could've had a snack later on" Conny said.
Scott chuckled. "Exactly my thoughts, but I know Avi and he likes his breakfast. We'll go upstairs for a nap afterwards. He turned on the electric kettle and turned to his mother. "You always have some tea in the house, don't you?"
Conny nodded. "Sure, you know where everything is, right?"
"Of course" Scott said and looked through the cupboard and got out some green tea which he poured for Avi. He then sat down next to his mother and poured himself a cup of coffee. "So... how are you? How have you been these past months? I'm sorry that I didn't call that often, I was just so busy with my internship and what I got out of everything."
But Conny just shook her head. "You don't need to explain yourself, dear" she said softly. "And you don't need to call once a week, you know that, right? I love that you're spearing so much time for your family, but still, you're entitled to having your own life. And you're thriving right now, we're so proud of you."
Scott smiled. "Thank you. I have to say that my life right now is pretty amazing. I know what I want to do with my life, I am earning money and, most important, I met Avi."
Conny smiled at her son. "I get that. And you really like him, don't you?"
Scott nodded. "I do" he said. "I mean you know that I wasn't happy with the internship when it started, but Mitch told me to just go there and well, in the end it was totally worth it.
"Well I didn't make your internship easy."
Scott turned around and smiled when he saw his boyfriend looking definitely more awake. He had his hair tied back and was still wearing his sweat shorts, but with a fresh shirt.
"You didn't?" Rick asked, sounding amused. "Mean boss?"
Avi sat down and shrugged his shoulders. "I... tend to have problems when meeting new people. The official term would be social anxiety. So yeah, I was a bit mean to your son, until I really got to know him. It took a while to realise that he's just a wonderful person, full of passion for what he is doing and so full of love." He sighed softly. "I'm glad that he decided to do his internship at Fantasy, even though it definitely wasn't his first choice."
"Working for Fantasy is definitely my first choice now" Scott joked and winked at his boyfriend. He took his hand and squeezed it, three times. He was so proud of Avi for speaking up about his anxiety issues. "Anyway, I made you some tea. Green tea."
"Mmhm, already noticed it. Thank you very much, dear" he said softly and looked over the table. "And I see so many goodies, did you prepare everything yourself?"
Conny nodded. "Sure we did. We didn't know if you're more of a sweet or savoury guy, so we just made an assortment. And since the whole family is coming over later today we won't have any leftovers" she explained. "Dig in, boys, you must be hungry."

After a nice breakfast and another cup of tea for Avi, the two men retired to Scott's bedroom, definitely needing a few hours of sleep before the rest of Scott's family would arrive.
"You seem so happy, Avi" Scott said as they were lying down.
"Mmhm" the brunette hummed. "I am. Being here, even if it's only been for a few hours, feels homey. Not like my home, of course, but I am so comfortable here. Your parents are lovely. And such good cooks."
Scott chuckled. "I know" he said. "And I am glad that you like being here. You deserve a time out. And if you need anything today, quiet, more rest, tea, just feel at home. No one will judge you, they all know that you're working hard."
Avi just shook his head. "I want to meet your family, especially your little nephew."
Scott smiled and nodded. "Yeah, you will. But only if you sleep now" he explained.
Avi settled down against his boyfriend's side and nodded. "You're right" he said and closed his eyes. "Alarm?"
"We'll wake up if Landon comes, he knows that his uncle is here" Scott said. "And he's able to walk up the stairs now."
Avi chuckled. "Sounds like fun" he said, before he yawned once more. "Night..."
Scott held his boyfriend tight against his side. "Good night, Avi."
