YAY 24: The Black Lake

3rd Person's POV:

Y/n woke up and saw that Mallow is sleeping at her mat beside Nayeon's familiar.

'So who was I hugging last night?' She thought. She looked at Nayeon's bed but she wasn't there.

'She didn't came back? Maybe she slept at Jihyo and Tzuyu's room.' She thought shrugging.

She stood up going to the bathroom, but she stopped her tracks when her skin got goosebumps.

"I HUGGED A GHOST LAST NIGHT?!"

When she finished putting clothes she fed Hers and Nayeon's familiar.

"Aishh...where is that grandma?" She mumbled going out of the room bumping to a wasted Jeongyeon and Jihyo.

"Good morning guys!" Y/n said cheerfully.
"Hey, y/n." Jihyo replied while walking groggily.
"Woah...you guys are okay? Maybe you should go and rest." Y/n said worriedly.

"Nah, we're fine. Where's Nayeon? She should go out of the room right?" Jeongyeon asked. Y/n just looked at them in confusion.

"Wait, I thought Nayeon was with you guys because she didn't slept at our room?" Y/n said confusedly.

"No, she went back to your room half drunk." Jihyo informed straightening her posture.
"But...why when I woke up she's not there? I even hugged a ghost last night!" Y/n exclaimed shivering.

"Maybe she's at the Great Hall?" Jeongyeon informed, Y/n nodded walking with them.

When they arrived, y/n looked around finding the certain bunny. But, she didn't see her.

"She's not here.." y/n said panicking a little.
"Did you look at the bathroom? Living room?" Jeongyeon asked but Y/n just shook her head.

They sat at the table with the others, as Jyp nim begins his announcement.

As Y/n gets ready for the next challenge, she can't help but to worry for Nayeon. She didn't see Mina as well.

'Where the hell is she?!' She thought then groaned in frustration before going out of the tent.

She saw Wendy waiting for her at the docks to ride a boat to the area.

"Here's the gillyweed, 1 hour before it expires." Wendy said handing the latter the weed while their on the boat.

"Just right...thanks Wendy" y/n said while Wendy smiled. They chatted as they arrived the Challenge area.

"Students, this is the next challenge. Rescue your love ones at the bottom of this lake. Each one is your closest. You have 1 hour to complete." Ms. IU explained.

She held a gun as they positioned their selves.

At the cue of the gun, Y/n immediately ate the Gillyweed then dived right in.

She was left by the others, so she just used her instinct ability to find them.

When she found them, she saw mermaids with sharp teeths and claws sabotaging the other conpetitors. When she got closer, she saw a familiar figure, her hazelnut hair can be seen while her eyes are closed.

'N-Nayeon?' Y/n thought staring at the girl infront of her.

She saw the others already swimming up, but there's a young girl who is still here.

She grabbed the both of them as she swam upwards, but a mermaid pulls her foot. Many of them came and pulled Y/n down.

She closed her eyes then, pushed Nayeon and the small girl upwards as she sank.

Meanwhile, Chungha who is wrapped in a towel is panicking.

"My sister is down there! Please help her!" She yelled. Suddenly, they saw two survivors coughing at the water. It was Nayeon and Chungha's little sister.

"My sister!" She yelled while helping the two of them.

Nayeon looked down at the lake, then looked around but she didn't saw Y/n.

"Y-y/n's still down there?!" Nayeon exclaimed nervousness growing.

Jihyo, who has Nayeon's towel wrapped it around her while calming her down.

Y/n's still at the bottom of the lake with mermaids swarming her.

The Gillyweed was almost gone...she can't breathe much.

"Get off me!!" She yelled, thanks to ths Gillyweed she can talk.

When she said that, the mermaids were pushed because od the impact. Even at the Challenge area, they can feel it.

'Y/n..' Nayeon thought, worried.

Suddenly, they saw a fountain of water,and there Y/n is, the water blasted her to the area as she landed she coughed water.

Nayeon immediately went to Y/n and hugged her.

Y/n who just came back to her senses, was shocked when Nayeon hugged her wrapping her towel around Y/n.

Jeongyeon smiled and placed an another towel at Y/n leaving the two.

"You idiot! You made me worried!" Nayeon exclaimed with tears.
"N-Nayeon....?" Y/n said in confusion.

"Tells you who made me worried for missing!" Y/n exclaimed finally back.

Suddenly, Chungha came and hugged Y/n pushing Nayeon away as she glared.

"Thank you so much for saving my sister! I owe you!" She said before kissing her cheek then smiled leaving.

"Ms. Min, you're out of time. But since you saved 2 people, you can advance to the next challenge." Jyp nim said crouching at Y/n's level.
"You did great.." he mumbled patting her shoulder.

The others went back to their classes and common rooms.

Y/n went to the bathroom to clean herself, while Nayeon pets their familiar.

"Hmm?" Nayeon hummed as she saw her bunny's bowl full of food.
"So, Y/n fed you while I was gone huh?" Nayeon said then pets her rabbit.

Nayeon smiled for a little before she got startled by Y/n going out of the bathroom with a white t-shirt and a nike pants.

"Oh, your bunny may be full. Look she's sleeping." Y/n reminded before slumping at her bed.
"I was just petting her--" Nayeon didn't finished her sentence when she heard a cute snore coming from her roommate who is knocked out.

Nayeon went beside her then stroked her hair.

"Thanks for saving me...."
