YAY 23: The Golden egg: First Clue

Y/n's POV:

We went back to the common room after class.

I saw my golden egg beside Mallow. She's smelling it.

"Hey, Mallow. Omo, you shrunk again!" I exclaimed when I saw Mallow back to a baby again.

"Aigoo...you baby tiger." I said placing her to my bed as she purred.

I picked the egg and opened it.

A irritating loud shriek emitted as soon as I opened it. Of course, I immediately closed it.

"Yah! What's that!" I heard Nayeon yell as I turn around, she's just wearing a towel. I immediately turned around blushing.
"Wear some clothes grandma!" I yelled.
She smirked then went back to the bathroom.

"She's crazy like hell.." I mumbled then looked at the egg observing it.

We only have 3 days to know the clue, since when you don't know the clue, you're not prepared.

I went to the Great Hall, Jeongyeon is with me. Jihyo said that we should meet at the Great Hall for something..

"Hey, Jeong." I called my bestfriend. She turned her head looking at me.
"Yeah?" She asked.
"Do you know why Jihyo needs a meeting?" I stated rubbing my chin.

"Maybe something important? I dunno.." she replied shrugging.

We arrived at our table and saw Jihyo,Sana and Mina giggling over something.

"Hey guys, what's funny?" Jeong greeted while Tzuyu answered.
"They've been like that for 30 minutes.. " she informed obviously annoyed.
"We just observed something, about our leader." Sana said wiping her tears.

"So that's something IMPORTANT to talk about?!" I exclaimed as they laughed.
"Yes, she's changing. Just a bit tho." Jihyo stated.

"She's becoming soft lately, but yesterday wasn't." Jihyo said facepalming remembering Jeongyeon's story about Nayeon threatening them.

I laughed,"Yup, she smiled yesterday. After the battle." I said remembering her bunny smile.
Jihyo and the others giggled, while Mina was silent looking blank.

"Y/n, I heard you can't understand the clue?" Dahyun asked.
I nodded then sighed frustratingly.

"I opened it then an irritating shriek escaped." I said.
"How about, take a bath first? It'll calm your mind." Mina suggested. I smiled and stood up.

"Thanks for the advice Mina!" I said rushing to the common room.

When I entered, I saw Nayeon playing with Mallow.

I immediately grabbed the golden egg, grabbed a towel and went to the bathroom.

After stripping, I went to the bathtub and rested there for a while.

I looked up and saw a portrait of a mermaid.

Suddenly, it moved! It dived to my tub and looked at me intensely.

"You want to know the clue?" She asked crawling at my back.
"Y-yes." I said nervously.
"Then, open the egg." She said as I looked at her with are-you-sure look.

I opened it and that irritating noise came out again. I quickly closed it and looked at the mermaid, but she's back at the portrait not moving.

"YAH! QUIET DOWN YOU IDIOT!" I heard Nayeon bang at the door. I yelled a 'sorry' and looked at the egg again.

"Come to the water, and there you will find me." I heard a beautiful voice, and saw the mermaid singing. The egg was shining.
"That's where your closest drown into the depths of sea."

As it ends, I quickly had an idea. What if, I'll open the egg at the water?

I exhaled, then I put the egg at the bottom before opening it. I didn't hear anything, so I put my face at the water and there, a song. A beautiful song was heard.

It was the same as what the mermaid told me.

"Come to the water, and there you will find me."
"That's were we killed thousands of students from here."

After the song ended, I retreated and gasped for air.

"The Black Lake! That's the next challenge!" I exclaimed leaving before putting clothes.

I went to my other competitors reminding that the next challenge is in the Black lake.

"How did you know?" Chungha asked.
"Take a bath, out the egg in the watter and open it. Then see for yourself." I plainly said.

"I need to go bye!" I said waving at them.
"Thank you!!" They yelled.

I went to Wendy, Prefect of Dragons.

I saw her at the library and sat infront of her.

"What do you need Y/n?" She softly said since Madam Pince will shush us up.
"You know any weeds so that I can last long in water?" I said to the point. She went silent rubbing her chin.

"Yeah, gillyweed. Your body can transform like fish body. I'll get it for you..." she said smiling. I smiled then bowed thanking her.

3rd Person's POV:

After asking Wendy for a gillyweed, Y/N slumped at her bed tired.

Suddenly, a figure went to to Y/n's bed snuggling its face to her neck. She can feel its breathing and it smelled so good.

She can't see who it is tho, since the lights are off when she came.

"Mallow, why do you smell so good?" Y/n said snuggling her face to the head of somebody.

Nayeon, who went to the room a little drunk after Jeongyeon and Jihyo's small drinking session. Slumped to her bed and snuggled close to somebody's neck.

Nayeon woke up and saw a person she's hugging right now. Its Y/n! She went red and pretended to sleep.

"Mallow why do you smell so good?" She heard Y/n as the latter snuggled her face at Nayeon's head sniffing its lovely scent.

"I'm hugging...Y/n right now?!" Nayeon said screaming mentally.

She feels hot right now, she blushed harder.

She slapped her cheek mentally. Then, she unconsciously smiled then tightens her hug to Y/n.
