"Are you a renegade Kayn?" My mind is a mess right now. "The one I'm supposed to trust?" I add throwing my hands out in a questioning manner.

"Gianna, you shouldn't trust anyone." Kayn chuckles while dragging his fingers through that pitch-black hair. "And a renegade I am not."

Can't keep up with his mood swings.

His hands are then drawn to the pocket of his pants while his lips twitch before he speaks. "Salt and sugar look awfully alike be sure to remember that."

Before I have a chance to respond to him, the attention is drawn to the door, it swings open abruptly with an enormous bang making my insides freeze.

I inhale sharply as the look of hatred is plastered on the guests face.

A muffled up Carter is standing in the opening, dark circles under his hazel eyes, the blonde hair is tousled and a deep cut is placed on his cheek.

Carter fills the suite with a smell of burned material, I'm supposing it has to do with the accident. My mind won't let me recall anything that went down though.

Carter isn't meeting my wide eyes, instead, he narrows his eyes at Kayn to the stroll towards him with loud slams against the marble floor.

It's almost as if you could touch the hostility between the two.

"Carter..." I gasp as he's is grasping Kayns shirt throw him against the wall.

Kayn gives away a little squeak as the back collides with the harsh surface. His face makes a grimace of pain and my stomach sting.

The large framed pictures falls to the floor, as do Kayn, with a clattering sound. My heavy breathing fills the frigid silence.

"How did..." My hand reaches up to my throat as I lightly grasp it. Trying to makes sense of Carters' strength.

"I told you to stay away!" Carter growls looking down at Kayn who laying on the floor. I'm standing motionless at the side just watching the two duel like lions fighting over power.

Kayn lets a chuckle escape while rising up from the glass splitters around the floor. Lightly brushing of the pieces from his suit.

"Sorry Bailey but I don't go under your orders." Fresh blood, caused by the glass, is now dripping from his sealed palms. "As a rulebreaker you should show a little more compassion if you don't want me to rat you out that is." Kayn adds humor in his voice.

"You've dragged her into unnecessary situations, this will be the last one." Carter takes another leap at Kayn but this time Kayn manages to duck the fist aiming for his face.

"She's bound to find out eventually." Kayn sings while giving Carter jaw a taste of his fist. "Aurelia will find you." Kayn continues making Carter angrier for every word.

Carter finds his balance prevent falling headfirst into the wall. Abruptly he turns to face Kayn with clenched teeth. A red tone is taking place on his skin.

"I mean I get it, you just couldn't resist." Kayn shakes his head while looking dreamingly out in the room. "I'd tap that any day."

"Dont speak of her like that!" Carter says firmly but you can clearly hear the hatred in his voice.

"Hmm." Kayn starts to chuckle lightly as he's pacing closer to Carter who's whole body is tense.

"The problem here is," He pauses and points a finger in the air to then press it on top of his lips, like he's searching for an answer. "That she's just not that into you."
