"What did you do to her?" I question while holding my breath.
"Oh nothing serious. I tend not to do the dirty work myself. I'll let my brother handle that."
"So to the question is he possibly keeping you company or are you calling me to deliver the address of his now dead body?"
"I'm not a psychotic killer like you." I spit out. He's the one who killed my mother. If anything I should kill him. To get justice.
"Oh." Kenji chuckles. "You are one to hold grudges I see." He continues. I have to bite my tongue not to let him have a taste of my so called grudges. "In my defense your mother was a thief and a renegade."
"A renegade?"
"Yes that's what we call the traitors. Anyhow, I'm bringing you back to where you belong. I need to clear my name and such."
"I belong on earth." I mumble.
"You most definitely do not." He says with a funny tone. "That's up to the all mighty Kendric though. I do not care for your life gracious one."
"Where are my family and friends?"
"Oh, they're downstairs. Holding the prisoners company." He sings out the words. "We're experimenting with a serum that was found. Hmm, it's called the soldier gene, stupid name but maybe you've heard of it? It's very entertaining I must say."
"Let them go!" I press my foot against the gas harder. I need to get there before it's to late.
"Well you kept us waiting for far to long. We had to enjoy ourselves."
"Just let them go and I'll come to you. I'll do what ever you want."
"Oh, intriguing." He hums as if he's considering my offer. "You make it sound as if you're in charge here."
"Please."
"Oh, I don't do please my dear. Either you come here within an hour or I'll start to kill them off for every thirty minutes of your absence. I'll make their heads poof. How's that for a deal?" He laughs loudly.
"You're a monster." I clench my teeth together.
"I always get that label even though my brother is the worst of us all. He's the one that got you in this situation in the first place. Remember that. See you soon Gianna."
He hangs up and i slam my fist hard against the dashboard.
Well this didn't go as planned.
I shake my head and replay the conversation in my head over and over. He's a monster. Pure evil. I need to do this, for them. I need to let him take me to Kendric. I'll explain everything. That i know nothing. He'll understand, I try to convince myself.
The phone starts to ring and an unknown number is showing on the display. I think for a brief moment of what's best but I decide to pick it up. Incase its Kenji with more threats.
"Hello?" I answer.
"Stop the car now." It's Kayn. I hang up the phone and shake it off. I don't want to be near him. His brother is right, maybe Kayn isn't the one holding my friends and family hostage but he did leave them there. He did introduce me into this whole world of madness.
The phone keeps ringing and my nerves can't take it any longer. I roll down the window and through it out. The wind is cooling down my face so I let it be down.
The sky is starting to turn dark and I now have twenty minutes to get to the facility. I will make it.
"Stop the car!" I turn my eyes to the side and are met by those irritatingly beautiful crystal ones. I shake my head and roll up the window.
