"Well well well." I hear a familiar voice. "I leave your side for five minutes and this is how you end up?" I open my eyes and meet a smirking Kayn dressed up in a fancy suit.
"How did you find me?" I blur outwith a shaking tone.
His sapphire eyes are more shiny than usual, he looks happy most likely because he thinks he won.
"I'm good, thank you for asking. I've been a little busy rescuing your friends but other than that everything is fine." Kayn looks down at my bloody arm and frown.
"He took out some chips." I declare trying to calm my racing heart down.
"I can see that." Kayn hums while squinting with his eyes. "Can you move?"
"Ehm no. He gave me something. Please, get me out of here." I definitely don't trust him but I can't stay trapped in here. "Where are Stace and Arkin?"
"They are at Area 31." Kayn answers while lifting me, a chill runs through me.
He pushes me against his chest and I can smell that luxurious fragrance he's always wearing.
"How's Stac? Is she..." I pause. "Back to normal?" Kayn walk us out of the room.
I catch a glance at the passed-out Carter on the floor, hoping he will wake up before this mad man delivers me to the enemy.
"The pill has worn off." Kayn states with a cold tone.
We walk silently through the long corridor. I've never been here before. It looks so new.
"You know this place?" I turn my gaze to the Androlious hoping he'll give me some answers.
"It's..." He makes a pause and moves his wrist to a scanner outside a large door. The red light turns green as the door opens up. "Never mind we're leaving."
"Are you taking me home?" A unsettling feeling is starting to take place in my stomach. Kayns jaws tense, answering my question. "It was your brother on the tape." I add.
"Yes." Kayn says as we walk outside towards a black car.
"And you're turning me in for his freedom?" I whisper. He doesn't look my way, the gaze is strictly focused on the car.
"They'll kill me Kayn." I hope he cares. Just a little bit. "Just let me go. I will disappear, you'll never see me again."
"They wont kill you." He says while opening the backdoor of the car. He slips me in and lays me down in the seats. "Besides you'd never leave your friends behind."
"Please." I say for the hundredth time today. Kayn sighs as he slams the door shut to walk to the drivers seat.
"You are the daughter of Kendric." Kayn utters as he starts the engine. "You're the heir of the south. They wont kill you." Seems like he's trying to convince himself.
"I trusted you." I let out through clenched teeth. My eyes starts to water.
"Well, I don't want to say I told you so but I did tell you to never trust anyone." I can't stop the tears from escaping my eyes. "You knew my agenda all along. I was honest with you."
"Just shut up. I trusted you. I saw some tiny part of humanity in you. I should've known better." I admit the tears now fall free.
"Agreed." Kayn murmurs from the front seat.
"I wish I could kill you!"
"Well, you should get in line."

We're a long way from home. The tension is painfully present. All I want to do is disappear but I need to get to Area 31. If they want me they'll get me, but I'll try to make them let the people I love go.
I'm dreading the thought of them getting the secret out of me since I still have no memories of colliding galaxies. The story's I've heard from Kayn and Carter about how they handle things at Androlix is terrifying.
I peek at Kayn from the side. He seems to have disappeared in some deep thoughts. His jaws are clenched, and hands firmly holding the wheel.
"What will happen to me?" Kayn shakes his head, the gaze is focused on the road. He smiles slightly.
"They'll try to get the truth out. No matter what it takes." The statement makes my stomach transform into a stone.
"Meaning they'll hurt me until I remember." I conclude with a small voice.
"Yes." Kayns eyes meets mine.
I shake my head and turn my eyes towards the road.

We've been driving in silent for about three hours now. I've been trying my best to keep calm but my heart is raising. I need to trade myself in for my friends. I need to speak to Kenji I'll do what ever he want as long as he sets them free. Kayn wont help me with that, he doesn't care so I need to find a way to shake him off.
I glance to my right side and see a gas station is approaching nearby.
"Can we stop? I need to pee?" I use a carefree tone with hopes of him not seeing through me.
"Yeah right." his eyes roll at me. "We'll be at Area 31 in one hour. You can hold it."
"I feel dizzy." I clutch my eyes shut trying to make a good performance.
"I'm not falling for that." He announces but as I glance at him I can see he's second-guessing himself.
"I lost a lot of blood. I need some water or food." I let my hands go up to my head and rub is softly.
"You're fine." Kayn counters.
"My throat." I croak out with a weak tone.
"Gianna." He says with a warning tone.
"I..." Holding my breath I fight to get the words out. "Can't." I pause and grab my throat with my hand. "Breathe."
I look at him, tears forming in my eyes and just like that he presses the gas pedal heading towards the gas station.
In no time we are parked by the entrance and Kayn rushes in to get some help. I let my hands stay at my throat until I know he can't see me then I jump to the drivers seat.
He left the keys.
I smile victoriously to myself.
Now, who's the most stupid person on earth?
As I press the gas I can see him running out of the store in the review mirror. His face turns red and he shouts after me. I ignore it and reach for his phone.
I open it up to dial my fathers number. After a few signals someone picks up. I put it on speaker as I race towards the facility.
"Area 31 office how can I help you?" I recognize Mirandas voice. A sigh of relief washes through me.
"Miranda? How's my father? Arkin and Stace?" My tone is rushed.
"Gianna, are you okay? They've been looking all over for you!" She scolds me as if I were a runaway teenager. "You shouldn't have called. They are searching everywhere for you."
"What's going on? Is everyone okay?" A loud bang is heard and my hairs stand on end.
I can hear Miranda screaming in the background. "Hello? What's going on? Miranda?" I try and yell without any luck.
"Gianna, what a pleasant surprise." I hear a cold voice say.
