"We need your help." The woman is staring at Kayn who's body is hanging in between me and Arkin. His arms are wrapped around our shoulders. We manage to make him open his eyes. For some reason the blood stopped floating.
"Who are you?" With horrific eyes she fold her arms over the chest.
"I'm Gianna. Gianna Clermont, your nicee." Her eyes flicker with regeneition. "He's dying." I add when she's silent for to long.
"Does Wayland know about this?" She shakes her head side to side. Her dark bob cut swirls around. "He's one of them isn't he?"
"Yes." I admit. She knew about the crystal eyedmen. She knew they kidnapped my mother. "I know your history with them isn't the best. But I need him alive, please help me."
"Get him inside." She says after a few moments of consideration.
Me and Arkin sigh in relief while following her into the house.
She's leading us towards the kitchen with fast steps. Her heels are cracking against the floor.
"Put him there." Ava delegates while pointing at the kitchen island. "I'm getting my supplies." She's rushing up the stairs.
"Can we trust her?" Arkin whispers.
"You were the one making me come here, remember?" I throw back. "We don't really have the time to think about that right now."
Ava starts to stitch him up, telling us to wait in the living room until she's done. We sit quietly on the couch.
"Why are you helping him?" Arkin says after a while. I give him a quick glance from the side. It's time to tell him.
"It's a long story." I tell him everything, just like I did with Stacy. Maybe it's time for me to include my friends in this madness instead of dragging them unaware into situations like this.
"Carter is from Andromeda?" Arkin is in chock it seems.
"Yes, and he had something to do with my mother's murder." I add.
"I don't know if this is accurate but a while back he asked me for a favor." Arkin explains. "He wanted me to hide a file in the system. I didn't think so much of it, it's not the first time things from Area 31 had to be dealt with." I give him a small nod.
"Can you get it back? It must be the video. I need some answers." I plead. Hoping he can take away this confusion.
"Yes, I'll need a computer. It won't take to long. Since I'm pretty good at my job." He jokes and I manage to let out a laugh.
Ava agrees after awhile to lend us her computer. We're sitting around the kitchen table, waiting for Kayn to wake up.
"What happened to you?" I say after a while, looking at Ava. She looks so much like my father, those grey eyes are almost copies. She pauses, probably not trusting me.
"I just couldn't be a part of that life anymore, your parents never stopped." Ava says watching the coffee cup in front of her.
"What do you mean never stopped?"
"After your mother was kidnapped I thought that would wake them up, make them stop," she shakes her head. "But they proceeded with their investigations as nothing had happened."
