Amnesia - 5 Seconds of Summer
Shawn's POV
April 2019"I'm done, dude. I'm going to bed", I told Brian.
"No, no, no. One more shot, c'mon", he insisted.
"We leave tomorrow morning and we have concert the next day", I said.
"It's just one shot", Connor said.
"Are you ok with this?", I asked looking at Alessia.
She shrugged and smiled. Fuck, I was hoping she was going to back me up on this. How was I acting like the mature person in this situation?
"Alright...", I gave up.
Brian poured the drinks and we all took our shot and drank the bitter liquid. I shook my head trying to get rid of the intense sensation going down my throat and burning my stomach.
"Now I'm really out", I said and took my phone that was on the table. "Are you all gonna stay?"
"I'm going with you", Alessia said.
We said goodbye to the rest who stayed around for a few more drinks. Personally, I just wanted to take a shower and lay in bed. We were a few weeks in in this European leg and as amazing as it has been, it was also draining.
"Are you going to sleep?", Alessia asked when we were on the elevator.
"Yeah, I'm tired."
"Yeah... me too", she said and something on her tone told me she wanted to say something else.
"What is it?", I asked her.
"Nothing", she said right away. She looked at me smiling, playing with her hands behind her back.
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, everything's fine".
"Ok".
I liked her. She was a hell of a great singer and songwriter. She was also cute. Nice round and squishy cheeks. Brian had been bugging me telling me to go for her and I honestly didn't know why I hadn't. Yeah, it could be that we were on tour together and hooking up would complicate things, but she also seemed like a very relaxed, lay down girl. I didn't think she would make a big thing out of it. At most, she would write a song about it. And hey, I didn't have any right to complain in that matter. I've written tons about a loved one that was now busy being successful with her music and hanging out with her boyfriend.
Fuck, maybe that was what I needed. A girlfriend. Some stability. I had given up on the fuckboy life, hooking up with every girl that would come my way. I got tired of it. Maybe it was time for me to finally, this time for real, find someone new. Funny how many times I've said that to myself, though.
"Uh... Do you wanna get breakfast together tomorrow? And uh, you know, maybe talk about music and stuff", I didn't know why I was so nervous asking her this. It was a completely normal question, nothing out of the ordinary.
"Yeah, that would be nice", she said taking her room card out of her pocket.
"Cool. See you tomorrow then. Goodnight".
"Goodnight", she said and waved awkwardly while I walked away.
Ok. Good. This was good. It is time for me to have something real, I thought, and things with her had been extremely easy so far. We had the luck of touring with our friends and together we discovered every city in Europe. It had been fun for all of us. Nice and easy, Shawn. That's good.
...
"What are you doing exactly?", Brian asked me while we wandered the halls of the venue after the soundcheck.
