Fire on fire - Sam Smith

Camila's POV
July 2019

"Papi, harry up!", I called my dad when the van arrived to take us to the venue for Shawn's concert tonight.

I was excited to see Shawn again and bring my family with me. I had had an amazing night with him last night at Blink 182 concert. It felt like a normal couple's date, just the two of us enjoying music and drinks. Not so many people recognized us there and that allowed us to just cuddle and be cheesy on our own.

I was specially pumped about this night because it was not only my mom and sister that were coming with me, as it always happened, but also my dad, my abuela, and other friends and family.

I texted Shawn when we were on our way and he replied within seconds.

[S: Can I see u before the show?]

[C: Idk, depends on traffic but I'll try]

[S: Please do 🥺]

I could picture Shawn making exactly that emojis face and I couldn't resist him. He had a grip around my heart and I felt drawn to him.

His team ushered us into the venue through a side door, avoiding the crowds. My family got comfortable backstage while I walked through the corridor and into Shawn's dressing room as Jake told me. I knocked softly and then opened the door myself.

"Wow...", he said when he saw me standing there in an all white jumpsuit.

"Do you like it?", I asked him shyly.

"Baby, you look amazing".

I liked how easy it was for us to use the pet name around and how his eyes sparkled looking at me.

"You look good too", I eyed him.

He was wearing blue jeans and a white short sleeve shirt. It was a rare occurrence to see him without his black jeans but I loved when it happened.

"Wait...", I said walking closer to him. "I think I know this shirt".

"Mhm. You do", he said mischievously.

"Is it from the music video?", I asked him.

"Yep", he smiled.

I laughed at it because I liked how he decided to wear it tonight. He came closer and wrapped me with his arms.

"Hi", he said looking down at me.

"Hi", I replied and leaned to kiss him.

His lips were soft and warm. His mouth tasted like coffee and even though I wasn't a big fan of it, I loved tasting it from him.

"Are you ready?", I asked him.

"Yes. Is your family here?"

"Yeah, they are all excited".

"Oh shit", he smiled like a little kid. "I'll really have to put on a show tonight to impress them then".

"Nooo", I told him. "Just have fun, we'll be cheering for you".

And that we did. I took my seat on the audience shortly after wishing him good luck and fans didn't take long to spot me. They were loud and seemed impressed, but they were nice or so I felt. I was so excited and full of energy to enjoy his show.

I had always been a fan of his music, since we were teens and didn't know much about life. I was a fan not only of the beat but the lyrics. Same lyrics that had put me on the edge before, but sounded so sweet now. I knew every word of his songs and they made my heart expanded inside my chest.
