Rhythm Inside - Calum Scott

Camila's POV
March, 2015

"Oh my God!", I laughed out loud when we got off the stage at the end of the show and I saw Shawn standing in the hall with his arms crossed over his chest. "That was so cool, I never thought you were really going to join us!"

"I did, didn't I?", he remarked with sass but a friendly smirk on his face.

I couldn't stop laughing and as petty as he wanted to sound, he ended up giving up and laughing with me.

"But it was fun right?"

"Yeah, I guess. You made me look good".

"Always, Canada".

We had invited him to our show in Toronto since this was his hometown and he happened to be home after some time away touring. He said yes right away and came to the venue a couple hours before the show started. For a second it felt like when we were on tour together and we used to hang out before the concerts, but this was actually better. The girls and I were on our first own tour and I knew he was just about to release his first album. We were having fun and teasing each other when I said he wouldn't dare to join us on stage during Brave honest beautiful with other fans. He didn't say anything, but knowing how competitive his ass was, I should have forseen that he was going to prove me wrong.

"You've got some moves, Shawn", Normani said walking by our side.

He blushed and I laughed again.

"Thanks", he murmured. "I hate you for this".

"I didn't make you do anything", I said in my defense. "I bet this will be all over the internet tomorrow, I can't wait".

"Oh God, shut up", he told me, but every word coming out of his mouth and his moody face just made everything more hilarious to me.

"Camila, we have to move", Lauren said while she took off the sound system out of her clothes.

"Yeah, I'll be right there", I told her. "So, did you like it?"

"The show? Yeah, it was great. You sounded amazing", he told me with a sincere smile.

"I did? Thanks", I giggled.

"Yeah, don't tell anyone but...", he came closer and whispered on my ear. "You stole the show out there".

"Shawn...", was all I could say when he pulled away and looked at me.

"What are you two whispering?", Ally asked noisly coming by our side.

"Nothing", Shawn replied quickly. "Just chatting. Great show by the way".

"Oh thanks, Shawn".

"I should probably get going now", he said. "Have fun with your tour".

He hugged Ally and then walked around saying goodbye to the rest of the girls and people from our crew that he knew from last year. He smiled longinly at me before pulling me for a hug.

"We'll keep in touch", he whispered.

"Like always", I said.

He squezeed my hand before walking away and when I turned around all eyes where on me.

"What?", I asked.

"Nothing", Lauren rolled her eyes and picked a bottle of water.

"You two are adorable", Dinah giggled.

"Me and Shawn? We're just friends", I told them. After what had happened with Austin and the humiliation I felt when he practically said it meant nothing, I didn't want anything to do with guys and dates.
