Camila's POV

"Hi", Camilla, Shawn's cousin said when she saw me walk towards them. I couldn't help but feel a bit nervous around them. I knew how close Shawn was to his cousins and making a good impression on them was kind of a big deal for me.
"Hi", I said back and hugged everyone around.
"Where's my cousin?", she asked me.
"He's over there with friends", I pointed in his direction.
"He looks happy", his other cousin commented and I blushed when they all had their eyes on me.
"How are you ladies?", Brian interrupted us and I felt a bit more relieved because I knew him better.
Not that his cousins where rude to me or anything, it was me that felt intimidated by them for no apparent reason. That was something I needed to work on because I wasn't planning on walking away from him and his family anytime soon.
Brian urged us to take some shots with him and I was about to do it when I locked eyes with Shawn in the distance. He was talking with someone but his eyes were fixed on me. I raised my glass to him and drank the tequila without looking away, then I licked my lips. I saw him clear his throat and say something to the person next to him to come to me. I laughed silently and I acted cool until I felt him standing right behind.
"What are you all doing here?", he said with husky voice while he placed his hand on my waist and took a look around.
"Shots. Want to join us?", Brian replied excitedly.
"Do you want another one?", he asked looking down at me.
"I'll join you if you want", I said.
"Yeah, let's do it", Brian said and called some more people.
Brian poured the alcohol and gave each one of us a glass. He then made a countdown and we all drank when he reached number 3.
This time the alcohol went through my mouth a bit more smoothly than the first time but I felt it burn more inside. Or that could be Shawn's doing as well now that he was here with me.
Before I could look around, Shawn bent down and very quickly kiss my mouth, licking my lower lip like I had done before. I looked at him with surprised eyes when he pulled away but he just shrugged, unbothered by the people around us.
"I wanted to help", he said.
I was embarrassed to do that in public because it wasn't just anyone, it was her family and friends, but he didn't seem to mind. Instead he hugged me and I buried my face on his chest until my cheeks stopped burning.
"Behave", I heard Karen said as Shawn held me in his arms and he laughed.
I looked at her and she smiled at me sympathetically. She was just trying to help me and tell off Shawn for making me all shy.
"I always do", he said and pushed my hair back in a sweet move.
"You better", I said sassily and he kissed me softly. I was prepared this time.
I lost him not long after that, when other people asked for his presence somewhere else in the terrace. It was a beautiful night and I loved that he was having fun.
The night rolled on and we all started to get louder and also tipsier. The vibe was contagious and so energetic, just like Shawn.
"Are you having fun?", he asked me cupping my face with his palms and looking down at me.
