-From Tom's POV-

Draco and I were walking around the corridors, whispering and using the light from our wands to search for this stupid 'frog'. Somewhere during the process, I had told him that we weren't actually looking for a frog, of course, but for V. I had vaguely filled him in on the details of what happened. Not the part of Y/n and I lying to her to make her believe that Alex really was responsible for everything, but about the change in her appearance and the change in demeanor, persona, all of it. Honestly, this was the most I had ever spoken to Draco about something actually meaningful; he was always sort of a side character for me. A disposable. But now, if he was genuinely going to be loyal to Y/n and I, we had to start somewhere. "Tom, do you trust me?" he asks me. Without turning around to look at him, I respond.

"Of course not." I say flatly.

"Why?" he asks slightly offended.

"I don't trust anyone." I say, still in a flat tone.

"You trust Y/n." he points out. I let out a sigh of annoyance.

"Yes, I do." I snap back before I continue creeping down the hall. "But that's different and you should know." I hiss at him.

"Is it because you guys-" before he even has the chance to finish the sentence, I turn and glare at him, making him drop it. "You know, if you guys took me a bit more serious I might actually be a useful addition. My dad is-"

"Your dad is Lucius Malfoy. We know." I shake my head as I keep looking around. He lets out a sigh of frustration.

"I know that you and Y/n practice black magic." he spits out. I stop in my tracks and turn to him slowly, jaw clenched and eyes intense.

"Be careful with your accusations." I tell him.

"I know, Riddle. I know that you practice black magic in a secret side room with her and I know whatever it is you've gotten into, it's bigger than both of you." he says as he folds his arms. I roll my eyes slightly. "You're not denying it." he says cockily.

"Malfoy, what do you want?" I ask him. He smirks and uncrosses his arms and takes a step closer to me so we are now face to face.

"I want to be cut in. I want to be involved in whatever it is you two are doing. I'm tired of being a little side character in your games. You and Y/n are both powerful, I know it, and I want to be involved." he says. I let out a deep breath before answering.

"Say we do let you in, how do we know we can trust you?" I ask him.

"Do you not remember who my father is? If anyone is loyal, it's him. Consider it genetic." he says.

"Mmm. Say we do take your vouch. How can you prove your loyalty?" I ask him. He think for a minute and then shrugs.

"Anything you want, consider it done." he says. I cross my arms and peer down at him.

"How about fight a massive snake?" I ask. His eyebrow goes up.

"What?" he asks.

"The Basilik. It's a massive and dangerous snake that I control. Fight it, and you will have my trust." I say confidently. He takes in a deep breath and then speaks again.

"Of course. When though?" he asks.

"Whenever we find this stupid frog so that way my girlfriend doesn't murder both of us." I say slightly agitated. We continue walking and I hear him slightly chuckle.

"Your girlfriend." he says. "I don't think I've ever heard either one of you outwardly claim each other like that." he says.

"So?" I retort.

"So? You're dating one of the smartest and hottest witches in this school and you're not shouting it from the rooftops." he says.

"Some people like privacy." I say.

"Yeah, and some people like your girlfriend." he says. I turn around to face him.

"Do you have something you'd like to say, Malfoy? You've already had a shot with her and she turned you down. So. What. Is.It. If you interrupt this frog hunt one more time-" I start getting increasingly annoyed.

"Just saying, you should be a little more proud of each other." he sighs out. I roll my eyes and turn back around.

"Whatever, Malfoy. We need to find her." I say gravely. We stop talking and continue looking for fifteen more minutes before I get an idea.

The Chamber. The room she described, it was the the Chamber of Secrets. MY Chamber. I take a deep breath as I realize what we're about to head into. "Malfoy listen to me: we are about to go reveal one of the biggest secrets of this entire school. You absolutely, cannot tell anyone. Not even Y/n knows about this. Consider if your first test. A mini-test." I tell him. The corners of his lips twist into a smile of anticipation and eagerness as he nods in agreement, and I begin to take us there.

We arrive at the mouth of the chamber and I pull my wand out and signal for him to be as quiet as possible. I quietly, but quickly, pace up the main aisle of the chamber. I stop and stand in the middle and close my eyes so I can focus on my Parseltongue. I begin speaking, summoning the Basilik when I hear something strange. I open my eyes and stop speaking, and turn around to face Draco. He is watching me with wide eyes and a loose jaw in complete shock. My eyebrow furrows as the strange sounds continue. I continue to listen carefully and focus until I can make it out. It's someone else speaking Parseltongue. My eyebrow furrows even more. Who else knows how to speak Parseltongue?? The only person I know who speaks it is Y/n, and for many obvious reasons I doubt she is down here. So who the hell is speaking it?? I listen some more and then turn my back and begin squinting my eyes so I can make out who's at the end of the chamber. It's really dim and I was too focused to pull out my wand and use it for light. I can just barely make out the outline of V. But she's not herself; she's slightly lifted off the ground and and her eyes are twitching back and forth quickly and lighting up. Her lips were moving, she was speaking Parseltongue, but it wasn't her voice. Not her old voice, or her new voice but the deep and evil sounding voice, as if it came from a grown man. "I think it's safe to say we found her, can we leave now?!" Draco shouts from down the end of the aisle. This causes her eyes to roll back into place and focus in on us. An angry scowl grows across her face.

"Tom Marvolo Riddle, the Half Blood Prince." the voice calls out in an angry and annoyed tone.

How the hell did it know who I was?!

"I've seen the inside of your soul, your mind, everything. You are one dark being. One dark wizard." the voice begins to cackle lowly.

"You know nothing." I say back semi-confidently.

"Wrong, boy, I know everything. I was a dark wizard who failed. I am your future." the voice said.

"You're nothing." I snap back.

"Wrong. I, am Genesis Galamite."
