-From your POV-

I sat at the kitchen table and Hermione sat in the chair across from me. My eyes were wide and still stung as I stared down at the table with my hands clamped tight together. "Y/n, did you get the locket yes or no?" Hermione asks again, this time less angry and less demanding.

My eyes looked up at hers and I just took in a deep breath to fight back the tears. "Yes." I say dryly as I reach into my pocket and pull out the locket, setting it down on the table. She looks at it with a shocked expression before looking back up at me. "But when I went to get it," I begin, as during that time I had thought about what must've happened at Malfoy manor after they found the Slytherin locket.

"What happened??" Hermione asks in growing suspicion. I can't tell her I chose to broke all those rules or else she won't trust me and this entire mission will be askew, but I need to tell her that I'm suspicious that he's going to go after the Malfoy's next. I swallow hard and shake my head.

"I just, I noticed something that might hint as to what his next move is going to be." I explain to her. She slightly shakes her head in confusion.

"What do you mean?" she asks. I let out a soft sigh as my brain keeps moving quickly to put the pieces together.

"He is an evil and nasty bastard, but he's a smart one. There's no way he won't know- if he doesn't already- what I've done and what I've retrieved." I explain to her.

"But if he knows so much, why hasn't he come to attack you over the diary being destroyed?" she points out.

"Because," I start out as it finally all hits together in my head, the idea dropping down on my already fragile state like a piano falling from a window. "...he's playing the long game. He knows that I'm gaining support against him, so he's going to use the people who have the most anger against me right now as his support." I piece together.

"Then why hasn't he came to one of us yet??" Ouch. But understandable.

"Because he know's with Albus alive, you guys still have something to fight for. YOUR heir is still alive, as is mine..." my throat begins to hurt and become dry as I figure out the last piece of his twisted puzzle. "But the Malfoy's, theirs is gone forever." I just barely mumble out. My eyes snap back up to Hermione's. "Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy, they're going to blame me for the demise of Draco. I mean, they have their rights to be mad at me, but if he knows that they were supposed to keep onto the locket and it's in my possession now, " I pause as I begin to think of what he's playing at. He was a complicated man, very, complicated and very few people could get him figured out. He'd probably be surprised if I could figure him out. Hell- I'd be surprised if I figured him out. But one thing he always seemed to forget: I've been trying to one up this boy since I was 11. I was a stubborn bitch. "He's going to get to my own family through the Malfoy's." I spit out. Hermione's eyebrows furrow together.

"I don't understand??" she says. My eyes find hers again, this time my eyes are wild with urgency and I quickly stand to my feet.

"You don't need to. But I need to get to the Malfoy's before he does." I say as I pace around the kitchen, collecting my things again. She is now standing and looking at me.

"What is he going to do with the Malfoy's??" she asks. I slide on my cloak and make sure I bring the crown this time as I begin to answer her question.

"Lucius Malfoy is- or was- best friends with my father, they were practically brothers. I haven't spoken to the Malfoy's since Draco's death but I know that they're going to have it out for me and he knows that too. He's going to use Lucius to get to my father and my sister." I say as I walk over to the kitchen table and began to reach for the locket.
