-From your POV-

I didn't return to the Weasley household until the following morning, allowing time for Hermione to cool down from what Fred and I did. Well- technically it was Fred, but it would be inaccurate for me to say I had zero influence on it.

I knocked on the door and it was shortly opened by Ron, whose eyes widened when he saw me. "She's gonna-"

"RONALD WEASLEY, IS THAT HER??" I hear Hermione's voice shout from inside the house. I just press my lips together and squeeze past him, into the house.

Hermione quickly comes down the stairs and glares at me. "So within the span of 24 hours, you called me a Mudblood, time traveled against my word, took the Slytherin locket instead of destroying it, and then let Fred stupify me so you could go take the locket away?? And you wonder why we don't trust you." she hissed out. I stood up straight and adjusted the crown that was still sitting atop my head. Her eyebrows furrowed at this motion. "Why do you seem so proud?" she asks in confusion.

"I've destroyed the locket. It's mere fragments now, leaving only five horcruxes to be destroyed." I say flatly. Her and Ron's expressions change immediately and they look at each other. I adjust my cloak, which I have been wearing as a cape and stride over to one of the windows and look out of it. I then hear them begin to ask questions from behind me.

"Well if your explanation was right, how did you destroy it??" she asks.

"Don't be fooled. There was a cost to destroying it." I say, still facing out the window. It goes silent before Ron speaks.

"What did it cost you?" he chimes in. I turn around and look at them and tilt my head slightly.

"Everything." I say before turning back to the window. "My father died at my own hand and I would not be surprised if he goes after the Malfoy's next." I say flatly with no emotion. In the reflection of the window, I see them look at each other and pause in bafflement. "Yes, I killed him at the expense of being able to destroy the locket. My own father." I confirm, watching still in the reflection as they turn to me with shocked expressions. I turn and face them and notice the growing undertones of fear on their face. "Have it be known, there is no trust. Fear, is the only way." I say.

"You killed your own father!" Hermione barely chokes out, stumbling over her own words. I look at her and stare at her with an emotionless gaze.

"Do you know, what the difference between a monster and a villain?" I ask them, neither of them responding, just watching me frightfully. "The will to do what is right." I say, standing still for a moment, before briskly walking past them and to the table, picking up the box of pictures and other keepsakes that had been left out from the day before. I picked it up and placed it in my arms and turned to face them one last time. "I know the lot of you believe that he and I have set the world on fire, but I must inform you it was already burning when we got here." I say before turning, leaving out the front door of the Weasley house.

-From Violet's POV-

I was quickly pacing down the corridor of my dorm, report card in hand, ready to go to the owlery and send it to my mother so she could see how well I was doing.

I was looking straight down at my marks, admiring all the A's I had and thinking about how amazing I am, when I bumped into someone head on and was knocked to the ground.

I was sitting on the ground and looked up and saw a familiar lightning-scarred forehead. I rolled my eyes as I reached over and grabbed his now cracked glasses. "Oculo reparo." I say boredly, fixing his glasses. I stretched them out to him and looked at him while he took them. "You really need to watch where you're going, Potter." I say as I reach over and began to grab at some of the papers that fell on the floor.

"Sorry, I was reading- I was reading a um, letter..." he draws out. By then, I had already started reading one of the papers I picked up, which proved to not be my report card like I thought it was. My eyebrows furrowed together in confusion as my eyes began taking it all in.

"SHE GAVE ME A BLOOD HORC-" my shout was quickly faltered by Albus' hand over my mouth. My eyes moved up from the letter and looked at him, giving him a what-are-you-doing glare.

"Not here." he whispers, slowly removing his hand. I keep glaring at him but take his hand when he offers to help me stand up. I brush off my skirt and snatch my report card from his offering hand and use my other hand to grab his and drag him along. "Come on, you blind baffling idiot." I mumble out as I continue to drag him with me back to the owlery.

We sat side by side on the floor of the owlery , which was empty aside from the obvious owls, and leaned up against the wall. Albus just watched silently as my hands began unfolding the scroll to read it. Before I start reading, I look over at him watching me and feel my eyebrows knit together. I quickly grab my report card and hand it to him. "Go make yourself useful, yeah?". He sighs and grabs it, reluctantly standing up.

"Yeah because speaking Parseltongue and not questioning your questionable authority and decisions has made me not useful this whole time." he mumbles as he stomps off to the owls. I can't help but stifle a snicker at his funny little remark. I quickly clear my throat and fix my face back to straight as I look back down at the letter.

Once Albus sat back down next to me, I began reading it aloud. "Violet, you were still very young at the time and I didn't quite think I should reveal the nature of the mirror to you. But as the circumstances have changed drastically, you should know that mirror is a horcrux of mine. I didn't know it has any of the odd properties you described. The whole time I had it, it was just a normal mirror. Well- as normal as a horcrux gets. I know that this means whatever I do, I cannot let anything happen to this mirror. She expressed later in the letter that she thought it was safest with me, as if she kept onto it, it would be too predictable and he could get his hands on it. And being that I wanted my mom to see me as someone mature enough to work alongside her, I was going to follow her instructions to a tee.

"So she gave you a horcrux of her's on accident?" Albus asks.

"Well obviously that's what she said, Potter."

"Well- yes, but was it really on accident?" he suggests. I look at him and glare.

"I don't know, but it doesn't matter now. We have to make sure this stays well hidden and protected."

"We?" I roll my eyes at his response.

"Oh come on, Potter. If you're going to chicken out, I'm going to do it myself anyways." I point out.

"But what-"

"Blah blah blah mhm I will do it either way; nothing you say can or will stop me." I say firmly. He just shakes his head and sighs. I smile at his silent surrender. "Wonderful. I'm going to write her again and as we get more information, we'll make a plan." I say proudly, standing to my feet and brushing my skirt off.
