It's Time

(Evelyn POV)

I woke up the next morning to watch the Vegas sunrise. I took Gracie out to mine and Zak's favorite spot on the porch.

It was October 1st and though we are in Vegas, it was crisp and chilly.

I had my favorite cardigan and slippers with my PJs and a messy bun. It's weird having a morning to myself. No kiddos attached to me first thing in the am. I'm laying in the hammock, pumpkin spiced latte coffee, lost in thought.

My thoughts were ajar when the glass door opened.
Out steps my husband looking a hell of a lot better than he did last night.

"Hey handsome. How you feeling?" I ask as he sits down next to me with his black coffee.

"A lot better. I miss the kids. I need to call Bishop Brian this next week." He replied.

"What are we thinking for the Halloween special baby? And Graysons birthday?" I ask.

He sips his coffee and then speaks.

"I was wondering what you would think if I asked you to be on the show this year..."

"I..."

"Babe, I know it scared you. I get that. I will be right by you the entire night. I promise. This year I was just thinking, we could possibly open the Dybbuk Box..."

I started to choke on my coffee.

"Baby, I want to support you in all your endeavors but are you sure you want to open that with the stage you're in all ready?" I asked.

He sat down on the hammock beside me.

"Evelyn, listen. I want my two worlds to collide. My personal life, my paranormal life. You falling down the stairs was a fluke. Come on baby, the museum residents were so excited to see you when you returned, remember? They know you. They started us to begin with." He said scooting closer to me.

"And our son's second birthday? That child of yours that happens to be born on your favorite day?" I said with a smile.

"Well, I've watched him watch my shows recently. He seems disconnected from reality, an empath like me. He feels things. We've known that but as he gets older, I think he's his father's son more than we thought." Zak explains.

"What does that have to do with his birthday?" I asked.

"Well, I think it's time we introduce our son to the museum."
