As I Am (Part 2 of There You'll Be)

Well, now you know

(Zak's POV)

"You two didn't know you were pregnant?" Dr Adams ask.

I clear my throat and Evelyn has that nervous look on her face.

"H...How...How far along am I?" Evelyn asks.

"Well, I'm sending a nurse up to perform an ultrasound. From there we can determine how far along and when you are due." The Dr says as he begins to pick up his thing.

"Mr & Mrs Bagans, it was a pleasure to work with you and congrats on baby number 3." He says as he shuts the door behind him.

"We...We are going to be parents again?" Evelyn asks as she gently touches her belly.

"I guess so. We wanted a third and we got it, I just hope that they are okay after me attacking you in the Dybbuk Room." I said as I stood up to give her a kiss.

"Hello!" A friendly nurse interrupts as she pulls in a sonogram machine.

"Hi."

"My name is Meghan, I'll be taking a look at your little babe today, okay? Is this your first?" She Zak's as she gets things set up.

"Nope. We have two at home. This is number three, total surprise." Ev says.

"Okay, awesome. So you know the whole process then. If we could just have Evelyn lay back and pull her shirt up, we can start there."

Evelyn, who was still probably trying to take the news in, pulled her shirt up to reveal her stomach and she laid down.

I don't know if I hadn't noticed or what but there, where my wife's normally flat stomach would be, was a small little bump beginning to form. How E & I never noticed is a mystery.

Ev was laid back and I walked over to her side. It took the nurse a few minutes to search around but she finally found what she was looking for.

"Okay, if you look here, there's a funny little blob. That's your baby." She told us as she pointed out.

I don't care if it's my first or my hundredth time viewing an ultrasound of one of our babies, I boob every time.

There, on the screen, probably the size of a gummy bear, was our newest love beginning to grow.

"You look to be around 8 weeks, Mrs. Bagans! You look to be due around June 21st or so. Congratulations!" The nurse said as she wiped Ev's belly.

"Did we need to stick around for the Dr or can we go?" Evelyn asked.

"You're free to go Mr & Mrs. Bagans. Congrats on your baby!" The nurse replied as she walked us out the door.
