Four- Mrs. Procrastinator
"You can't always get what you want-." The lovely guitar strums of the Rolling Stones wake me up the day of our flight to London. I slam the off button of my alarm, rolling out of my bed. We had six hours until we had to leave for the airport. I run downstairs and start the coffee machine. Not for me, since I hate coffee. I usually like Tea but the smell helps get Ara up. No matter how athletic she is, she can never get up early. By the time that I finish setting the table, I hear her alarm music, Wannabe, by The Spice Girls. A couple of minutes later she comes downstairs with a terrible bed head. My eyes widen and I throw a hair tie toward her.
"Did you look in the mirror before you came downstairs?" I ask, she nods,
"Yes, I thought that I looked ok." I shake my head and she nods sheepishly tying her hair up into a high ponytail.
"It's fine." I smile and gesture for her to sit down at the table.
"Have you packed yet?" She asks me and I slump in thought. Let's see yesterday I packed my big bag and I packed my small bag yesterday.. Maybe? My eyes widen as I realise that I didn't pack my small bag.
Ara notices and makes a "oh crap" face.
We finish dinner a couple minutes later and I rush upstairs, ruffling through my closet trying to find a bag that fits the restrictions. I find a small blue jansport and I start to fill it up with essentials. Toothbrush, hair brush, hair ties, toothpaste, deo and my passport go in first. After came the hard part, the non essentials.
"Ara! I need your help." She runs into my room,
"Yes Mrs. Procrastinator?" I frown with the nickname but ask her,
"What should I pack beside the essentials?"
"You should pack an album and some merch." She said, I rolled my eyes at her response, I should have known that she would be useless when it comes to these things. I got up and packed my journal, sketchbook pencil pouch, and headphones. An extra pair of clothes sits at the bottom of the backpack. I grab the backpack and walk to the kitchen, shoving in some snacks.
"Talulah? Rhys said that he's coming in 30 minutes. Get ready okay?" What? We had four more hours until we had to leave but okay. I left my backpack downstairs and went upstairs to get ready. I showered, and started to get ready. I put on leggings and a tank top, placing my glasses on top. I grab my phone and walk downstairs waiting for Ara and Rhys. Ara comes a couple minutes later clad in her signature mom jeans and a loose cardigan.
"Can you braid my hair?" I ask holding up my hairbrush and some hair ties. She smiles, nodding and braiding my hair into two dutch braids. Rhys comes 5 minutes later and helps up load our bags into his trunk. We reach his hours thirty minutes later, most of the group being pumped to be flying.
"Oh no girl. Where's your jacket?" Rhys asked me as I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.
"Why would I need a jacket?" Ara looks toward me and starts to explain,
"It's really cold in London right now." Rhys nods in agreement and pulls a work sweatshirt over my head, which I gracefully take. I look at my phone and it reads 12:00 pm,
"Guys it's time to go!" I scream, seeing both of them fangirl, drunk on the thought of meeting their idols.
