Six-Chemically infused pudding
"We're back!" Ara and Rhys open the door stepping into the hotel room. I sent them to go to the market to get food because I was ravenous. I put my book down and open the grocery bag taking out a pack of purple hair dye.
"Why is this here y'all?" I ponder out loud seeing Ara raise her hand with embarrassment,
"I want to change my hair color so Rhys recommended that I dye it."
"Really Rhys, I get that you like to change your hair every month but not everyone likes to taste the rainbow." I say seeing him nod along,
"But if that's what she wants then that's what she wants." Ara nods and both of them hurry to the bathroom.
"Wait.. I don't know how to dye hair." I hear Rhys say. My eyes fly open and I hip check him into the door.
"Why would you do that?" Rhys asks and walks back into the bathroom.
"You say that you do your own dye jobs." I rest my hands on my hips, ready to throw hands.
"Hello.. There's a girl waiting to get her hair colored with chemically infused pudding." Ara calls all the attention back to her.
"Right sorry." I nod my head and then a lightbulb idea hits,
"What if I dye your hair?" She looks at me skeptical, but nods anyways. I toss Rhys my phone,
"Hey, sideshow hero? Play some music please." He pouts at the nickname but plays Paint it Black in the background. I hum along as I start applying bleach to her dark hair.
"Bum, Bum, Bum, Bum, stayin alive-." All us bop our heads along to Staying Alive as we were waiting for the dye to settle in. I nod to Ara as she leans back and I rinse her hair, getting my hands stained purple.
"Do you like it?" I ask uncertainty. She nods,
"It looks..spacey." She chuckles as Rhys looks at her with fright.
"How is that spacey? Space isn't purple." Of course. Rhys works at an astrology research place. It makes sense that he would say something like that. Ara scrolls through her phone.
"I have a surprise, get ready." She shoves Rhys into the bathroom with his suitcase and starts to get ready herself. I pull out a pair of black leggings and a satin button up shirt with stars on it. My brown pair of boots end up on my feet after much debate. Ara walks out clad in a dress over a long sleeve shirt with heels on. My expression turns into one of amazement, did I underdress? Rhys walks out and his eyes fall on my shirt,
"You stole my shirt!" I look down and blush, covering my face. Rhys came over in his first year of college and gave me his shirt, I guess I never gave it back. I shyly smile and whisper a small sorry, before hurrying to take it off.
"No, No you should keep it on. It looks pretty." He walks away leaving me a blushing mess. Ara pulls me out of the hotel room and into the streets of France.
"Okay, it says it's 10 minutes away walking distance." She shows me her phone and it looks like an easy passage. We follow her talking about the jobs that we want and the duo mainly talks about what they would do if they saw Archie in person. We stop in front of a run down bar. My eyebrows furrow,
"Ara are you sure this is the right place?" She looks up and shakes her head,
"Guess you can't trust Google."
"Let me ask." I calm them down and walk up to a man.
"Excusez moi? Ou est le cafe?" He looks up and points down the street.
"Merci." I thank him and walk back to my flabbergasted friends and say,
"It's down there."
