Forty Seven- We want Tea!

Charlotte purses her lips and grabs her things, getting ready to walk out of the house. She turns around, facing Tommy,

"Are you coming?" Tommy wipes his tears with the back of his hands quickly,

"No, I'm fine you can go." He gives Charlotte a soft smile and she quickly hurries out.

"That was weird wasn't it Stargirl?" He chuckles awkwardly and both Rhys and I nod in agreement. Rhys shifts forward, putting his chin in his palm,

"So you didn't want to take Tal's lyrics?" He asks carefully, testing the waters. Tommy shakes his head,

"No, my idea was that we ask her to give us whatever song she wanted to give us and we would alter it as we saw fit." He replies quickly without missing a beat. Rhys looks at him wearily as I nudge him in the ribs,

"He's telling the truth. Archie told me the same exact thing." I say and Tommy quickly turns to look at me, his hair whipping him in the face.

"When did Archie tell you this?" He asks, his voice raising an octave.

"He told me in the garden."

"The KISSING GARDEN." He screams, flailing his arms like a beheaded chicken. Rhys, who was in the kitchen, hears Tommy's statement and doubles back,

"The kissing what?" He asks, his voice full of astonishment.

"The kissing garden. We named it that when Archie kissed his first girlfriend there. Since then, everyone in the band has had a kiss there." He explains, not thinking that the fact that they named a garden was weird.

"You can't just name it like it's the secret garden," I say, moving my hands around frantically.

"Whatever." He dismisses my statement and leans forward,

"Did you kiss?" I giggle a bit and lean in towards him, covering my cheeks. Tommy wiggles his shoulder and leans into me. When he comes close enough, I whack him in the shoulder and he pulls back,

"What the heck Talulah!" He winces, rubbing his now sore shoulder. I shrug, covering my giggles with my sleeves,

"You can't just ask questions like that." He scrunches his face up and makes a sour face at me.

"So did you?" Rhys comes into the equation and I glare at him,

"Do I have to slap you too?" Rhys's hands go up,

"We want tea Talulah, you can't blame us." I roll my eyes at them and stick my tongue out at them,

"Yes, I can."

"Just tell us already," Tommy begs and I fully stretch out, putting my legs onto Rhys's lap.

"For your information, I did not kiss him." I pause, trying to figure out how to word this.

"He kissed me." Tommy falls backward and his head hits the floor with a grand,

"Conk." Rhys has his mouth wide open and I scrunch my eyelids at him,

"Why do you have that reaction? I already told you this." He closes his mouth and lifts his hands up in an 'I don't know' type of stance.

"I see drama, I want to find out what it's about. I have a thing for tea." His hands fall on my legs as he gently wraps them around my sock covered feet.

"I have to go, Stargirl, my car ride is here," Tommy says, getting up and dusting his jeans. I get off my seat and wave goodbye,

"Bye Tommy, thanks for coming over," I shout. Tommy mutters something inaudible, followed by,

"Have fun in Korea!" He closes the door and I lock it behind him. I walk back to the living room area where Rhys is sitting and flop back down next to him,

"Well, that was dramatic." I sigh out, closing my eyes for a slight second. When I close my eyes, my ears are filled with typing sounds coming from Rhys's computer, With a pout on my face, I open my eyes and strain them to try and see what he's doing.

After a while, I give up and finally ask him,

"What are you doing?" He ignores me at first, but then I poke his thigh and ask again,

"What are you doing?" His eyes find mine as he looks over his computer. He gives me a small smile before going back to his work. I sigh heavily in annoyance and put my head in his lap, looking up at him,

Whatcha doing" I ask for the last time. Rhys chuckles and his hands ghost over my face,

"I'm booking flights if you must know." I'm finally able to look at his screen and see the orange logo of Kayak.

"To Korea?" I ask, mentally slapping myself for asking such a stupid question. Rhys maintains eye contact with his screen,

"Yes, to Korea."

"Ok," I mutter, groaning slightly when I sit up, my eyes looking to find a book to read. I give up when I see that the nearest book is more than an arm's length away.

"Which part of Korea do you live in?" I ask, leaning back onto Rhys's lap. When Rhys doesn't respond I look up and think about poking him once again. My eyes spot a pair of wireless headphones in his ears, explaining why he couldn't hear me.

I stretch my hands up to his ears in an attempt to pull the headphones out. My fingers clasp around the snug-fitting airpod and yank it out. Rhys's hand comes out of nowhere and softly grabs my hand, guiding it down, towards me.

"We'll be going to Seoul for the wedding." He says, with a slight reminiscent smile on his face. I cocked my head, Seoul was where Araluen had wanted to go. She had always raved about how the culture was to die for.

"Is it pretty there?" I ask, tilting my head up slightly.

"Yes, it's really beautiful there. Maybe if we have time I can show you some of my favorite places." He says, closing the laptop and setting it on the table next to him.

"When did you book the flight?" I ask, yawning lightly, feeling sleep start to catch up with me.

"Tomorrow, at noon." He says, gently pushing me off his lap, leaving me flabbergasted,

"WHAT!"
