Chapter 2~Kartik's Proposal

"Karan, I am going to meet Naira! I don't know by what time I will be back!" Kartik said

"Now toh, I am sure, something is going on between both of you!" Karan started teasing

"Karan! Stop it, will you? She was sounding really upset and sad, I can't see her like that! So, I am going!" Kartik said and went

Kartik went to her house, but she wasn't there! He searched many places, but couldn't find her

"Where did Naira go? It's 4 in the morning, I hope she is fine! Where did she go?" Kartik said as he was searching for her

"Oh wait! I know where she will be. That place is her favorite, whenever she is happy or lonely, both the times, she goes there!" Kartik said driving to an open space near a lake

As he went there, he saw Naira sitting near the edge, he went and hugged her from back, Naira didn't respond first but then she could feel his presence! She also turned back and hugged him

"I was so worried for you! Can't you inform someone? It's 4.30 Naira! And what are you doing here?" Kartik said bringing Naira back to reality

"Wait! Why are you here? I said that I don't want to talk to anyone, leave me alone! Please! Why don't you just stay away from me!"

"Naira, please listen to me once!" Kartik called but Naira started walking, Kartik held her hand and sat on one knee

"Naira, I don't know when this happened! But I truly love you, I love you the most! You brighten my day with happiness, every day! Will you spend your life with me? Will you be mine? Will you be this Mendak's Sherni? I love you Naira!" Kartik proposed

"I also love you Kartik! I can't believe you proposed me, this is a dream come true moment for me, but.....!" Naira thought

"Say Naira! Will you be mine?"

"Kartik, I am sorry! I don't love you! Please leave me alone. I don't want to be with you, or anyone! You deserve someone better than me, who will keep you happy and smile, all the best for your future!" Naira said disappointing Kartik

Kartik was completely broken by Naira's answer! He had been waiting for this day every single moment! He waited for that 'yes', but unlucky Kartik, didn't hear a yes from Naira!

"No Naira! I can never be happy without you, I truly love you, and you are the reason to my happiness! Naira, you actually don't love me?" Kartik said in an upset mood

"No, Kartik! I don't love you, and it's better if you stay away from me!" Naira said with tears in her eyes and she went from there, leaving Kartik broken

"I am sorry Kartik! The only person I truly loved, was you! But I want you to stay away from me. Every person who I love the most, ends up hurting! My life can never be happy, and I don't want your life getting affected because of me! I am sorry Kartik, I am really sorry." Naira said as she was driving

"Kritika it's been so long, since kartik went! He hasn't returned yet. Is he fine? Is Naira fine?" Karan asked calling Kartik for the 12th time

"They will come Karan! Don't worry, I am sure Naira will be fine, Kartik is with her! And they both are for each other, they make each other happy! We will wait for some time more!" Kritika said as she took a sip of coffee

"Why did you do this Naira? I am sure there is something that is hidden! I know you also love me, then why did you reject? What is your past! Why are you like this? Naira, I can never be happy without you! Please, come back to me!" Kartik said to himself as he was still sitting in that same place, till he noticed his phone

There were so many missed calls and messages from Karan, he tried to call him but the phone got switched off, due to low battery

On the other hand, Naira was feeling really low! She was upset about many things. She just wished, she could say yes! But she was scared of then hurting Kartik or losing him in future!

Kritika called Naira in the morning

"Hey Naira! Where are you? You weren't answering any of my calls or replying to my messages! Why? Is everything okay?"

"Yes Kritika! Everything is fine. I was a little busy, and my phone didn't have charge, that's why I couldn't talk!"

"Okay fine! And where is Kartik? He left, to meet you only! Is he there with you?"

"No, I don't want him to be here with me! Whoever I love the most, I always hurt them, I don't want Kartik to get hurt because of me." Naira thought to herself

"Umm! No! He is not there with me, and I will have to keep the call now, I will talk later, bye!" Naira kept the phone, before she would ask anymore question

"Karan! Kartik is not with Naira, then where is he? Now I am worried!" Preeta said as Karan entered

"I will go and search for him! I hope he is not in any problem, or something. He needs to be home soon!"

"I will also come!" Kritika got up

"No no! If he comes home, there has to be someone, to inform na! You stay here, I will call you if I find him!" Karan said

"Karan, I feel something happened between Naira and Kartik! Naira was also sounding really upset and hurt!"

"We will find out, you try to talk to Naira once more! I will be back soon, bye!" Karan said and went out
