Chapter 21~Date cancelled?

Gayu opened the gift and saw a dress and some other gifts in it

"Come to xyz resort at 8 pm, a surprise is awaiting you! I love you, and will be waiting to meet you." A letter was kept with the other gifts

"I love you too Kartik!" Gayu said as she saw the other gifts

"Gayu di, I am going out for shopping today, will you come with me?" Naira entered

"Sorry Naira, I am going somewhere else tonight!" Gayu replied

"Where?"

"Actually, see this!" Gayu said showing the gifts and letter

"Kartik sent all these gifts for me, and he called me out for a date today! I am so happy, I will be meeting him tonight!" Gayu said shocking Naira

"What? Kartik gave these gifts to you? Why? Today this mendak is gone!" Naira thought and without saying a single word she went to her room and called Kartik

"Hello jaan! You called me to talk about the gift na?" Kartik asked happily

"I am sure you loved it." He said

"Me loving it or not doesn't matter na! It's for Gayu di afterall! And yeah, she really loves the gift!" Naira said angrily, shocking Kartik

"What? That gift was for you jaan! Not for Gayu." Kartik replied

"Don't lie! You kept the gift in her room, and called her out for a date huh? And you don't even remember what day it is today! You go to Gayu di only, I don't want to talk to you!" Naira said and was going to keep the call, but stopped as Kartik spoke

"I am sorry! I didn't know it was Gayu's room, I seriously had no idea!" Kartik said

"What made you think that was my room?"

"That day when we came back from Rishikesh, you went into that room only, so I thought it is your room!" Kartik said and that's when Naira realised

"Oh god Kartik! My charger was in Gayu di's room, so I went to take that!" Naira said

"What? Now what should we do?" Kartik asked panicking

"We? Only you! Do anything Kartik, but you are not going to go out with Gayu di, that's all! And if you still want to, then don't talk to me!" Naira said

"No jaan! Why will I go with her? It's our day today! The day we first met each other! And we will enjoy this day." Kartik said, making Naira happy

"But how? Gayu di, is doing full planning to spend the evening with you!" Naira said sadly

"Keerti will help us in this! Don't worry." Kartik said and Keerti entered

"Jaan, I will talk to you in some time! Bye!" Kartik said and kept the call

"What? I am not helping you in anything again. Surely one day, you will put me in some danger!" Keerti said as she entered

"Please! There is a problem now!" Kartik said

"Now what did you do?"

"That room was Gayu's and I kept the gift there! Now she is getting ready to go for the date, but I don't want to go with her! That plan was for my wife, Naira!" Kartik said

"I told you to confirm first! Now see what you have put yourself into" Keerti said

"Please do something Keerti, you are my sweet sister na! Can't you do something for your brother, please!" Kartik said making a pout face

"Kartik, you forgot your phone!" Keerti called but he had gone already

Till then the phone rang! It was an unknown number, Keerti thought if she should answer or not, but finally she did

"Hello Kartik! It's me, Gayu here!" She spoke

"Actually I wanted to talk about the date......Kartik? You there?" Gayu asked as she heard no one speak

"Sorry, actually Kartik got an urgent work! And he has to complete that work today, so he went to meet the clients! He just went in a hurry, so he forgot his phone here!" Keerti said

"When will he be back?"

"He said, it's a really important work, and he will be really late till he finishes the work!" Keerti said

"Oh okay! Thank you." Gayu said and kept the call

"Today also we won't be able to meet then! I was so happy about this date! It's okay, he has some important work, I will meet him some other day then!" Gayu said to herself as she walked down
