After I had time to calm down, y/n offered to make me some lunch. She made sandwiches. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

"Just like the old days." She says, handing me a plate.

"Like the old days." Although some of my middle school memories came back, there was still a lot to retrieve. But now I had y/n. I took a bite of the sandwich and enjoyed the simplistic taste. Out of the corner of my eye, I watch y/n. She grabs a remote, her plate balanced on her knees.

"Any ideas on what to watch?" I shrug my shoulders.

"Anything is okay," I mutter, moving my eyes from y/n to the tv screen. She fiddles around before putting on some sort of k-drama.

"I've been meaning to watch this. If you don't like tell me and we can change it." She then takes a bite of her own sandwich and smiles. "Haven't had one of these in years." She mutters, her mouth full of food.

"So simple but so good," I add on and she giggles.

"Never heard anything more true."

It was hard to leave that night. Her place was so warm, especially with all the Christmas decorations up. I dreaded going back to the cold dungeon I was supposed to call home. The only hope I still had was meeting up with her next week.
