My eyes slowly flutter open, the bright sun invading my sight. Memories of last night flash through my mind. My hand flies up to my cheek, feeling the tender flesh beneath my fingertips.
"So it wasn't a dream," I muttered. Sitting up, my eyes look around, trying to find any sign of Jimin. There was no sign of him, but there was a note on the bed next to me. I reach over and grab it.
"Sorry y/n I couldn't be there when you woke up. But as you know, my mother would go mad if I didn't go home. I hope that you are able to sleep well. Expect a visit from me today. Jimin."
The words were read in my mind. On my nightstand, I see Jimin's old book and I tuck the note away under the cover. I slowly get up, pulling the sheets away from my legs. My legs shakily carry me to the closet where I grab a pair of sweatpants and a comfortable shirt. I go into the shower and turn on the water. I strip down and hop into the shower. The steaming hot water falls down on me, burning my skin. The water soaks my hair and I massage shampoo into my scalp. Tiny little waterfalls of bubbles falling down the curves of my face.
Getting out, my hot skin clashed with the cool room. Sending goosebumps up and down my arms.
"Chilly," I mutter, holding the towel tighter against my body. Drying off, I pull on my fresh new clothes. Warmth overtakes my body as the warm clothes cover my bare skin. My arms huddle all of my clothes into a pile and pick them up. On my way downstairs I throw them in my laundry basket and walk slowly down the stairs. Going down the stairs I'm about on my way to the kitchen to make some breakfast when there's a knock at the door. My feet come to a halt and my blood goes cold. Slowly my feet carry me to the door, nervous because my body remembers the last time I opened the door. My eyes peer through the peephole and my body relaxes. It was Hoseok, wearing a bright beautiful smile.
"Hey, gorgeous." He says once the door opens.
"Hey, handsome. What brings you here?" He smiles nervously, thinking through his head before answering my question.
"I heard what you did for Yoongi and Namjoon and I wanted to thank you by bringing by some breakfast." He holds up a plastic bag and raises an eyebrow. "I bought waffles." He tempts, smirking.
"You have won me over, please come in." He comes in and I take in his outfit fully. He was wearing a white long sleeve and ripped jeans underneath a tan trench coat. He puts the bag on the counter and turns to look at me. I watch his eyes wander my face until they lock onto the red mark on my cheek. He steps forward and runs a thumb gently over it.
"Did Jimin tell you?" I mutter and Hoseok gives a small nod.
"Both he and Jungkook will be coming over." He adds, walking back to the plastic bag and pulling out several containers.
"Wait they are? Why?" I ask in a small voice.
"Because we are worried about you y/n. And we want you to know we'll be here to take care of you." My heart melts and Hoseok notices me. He walks over with a plate full of waffles and embraces me. Somehow he feeds me a bite of waffles while keeping me in a tight hug. The warm gooey waffles fill my body with happy little butterflies.
"Oh, these are so good," I mutter, closing my eyes and leaning against Hoseoks chest.
"Yes, they are." He feeds me a second bite before guiding me over to one of my bar stools. Minutes later the two other boys arrive more food for breakfast. Together we all set up a breakfast buffet and serve up our plates. I tower my plate with waffles, eggs, hashbrowns, and a handful of fruit. The boys get their own servings of food and we all squish together on the couch. Hoseok puts on an episode of 'Golden Girls' before diving into his plate. I lean my head Jimin's shoulder as we eat. It made me feel safe, being around the people I was closest to. People I knew would never hurt me.
It had been a few hours since the boys had left and I was feeling good. They had left me with so much love and strength in my heart I felt ready for what I had to do. I had to officially leave Jackson. Last night it was still unclear to me whether he had left me. But I was ready to leave him right now. I was just about to leave when I open the door and see Jackson kneeling on the ground in front of my place.
"What are you-?" I can barely get out the rest of my question. He looks up and there are tear streaks down his face.
"Please y/n. I'm so sorry about last night. Please forgive me!" He begins to sob and I look down at him in shock.
"I-I don't know Jackson. Last night I was so scared and you hit me. You promised you would never hurt me." I try to get my words out. Trying to remember the strength I just had a few minutes ago.
"Please y/n. I can't imagine life without you." He begs, his hands gripping my legs and hiding his face in my jeans.
"Only if you promise it will never happen again, Jackson." His head flies up and he looks up at me hopefully.
"Do you mean it?" Jackson jumps up to his feet.
"I swear Jackson if you so much as raise your tone to loud or if you-"
"I promise to never do any of those things!" He cries out and wraps his arms around me. He pulls back and places his lips against mine. Taking me into a heated kiss.
"I love you y/n. I swear I will never hurt you again." He promises in a low whisper against my lips.
