"Hey Jimin, there's one place I think we should visit before we leave," I say, getting into a left turn lane.
"Where." He asks, noticing I took a wrong turn.
"You'll see, well actually I need to do two stops." I see my first stop, a small little flower shop.
"What are we doing here?" He asks as I pull into a parking spot.
"To get flowers for your grandmother's grave," I say, pulling out the keys and unbuckling my seatbelt. Jimin gets out and follows me into the store. My hand connects with his as his eyes wander around the store.
"Her favorite flowers were daffodils." I see a small bouquet of daffodils and we quickly buy it. Jimin holds it delicately in his arms as we drive to the cemetery. When we get there I park the car and unlock Jimin's door. He looks out the window hesitantly, his mind lost in wonder.
"You can do this Jimin. Come back when you're finished." He gives a firm nod, most likely from a self pep talk in his head. He gets out of the car and walks over to his grandmother's grave. This was a sensitive thing for Jimin, so I turned to the steering wheel. Giving him some privacy.
He returns the car several minutes later, still wiping tears from his eyes.
"Thank you for doing this y/n." He says, his voice shaky and weak.
"I figured that after yesterday you would need this." I place my hand in his and we drive out of the cemetery.
"So y/n," Jimin begins, turning off the music. "I was thinking about when we get back. I was thinking that I don't try to look for a place to stay and instead maybe just stay with you." I smile, excitement filling my body.
"Jimin, I would love that." A large smile grows on his face and he leans in and plants a kiss on my heat. My cheeks heat up and out of the corner of my eye, Jimin smirks.
"Whenever I kiss you, you get all shy." For some reason what he said combined with the way he was looking at me was sending butterflies to my stomach.
"Well, I-" I hit the brakes, coming to a red light and Jimin seizes his chance and cups my chin with his hand and kisses me on the lips. The kiss fuzzes my brain and I almost don't notice when the light turns green.
"Where did all of this confidence come from Jimin?" I ask, turning into the apartment buildings parking lot.
"I just feel like a new version of me right now." He admits, tilting his head while smiling at me fondly. "And it's all because of you." Thank god I was able to park the car when I did. Because now the only thing I could focus on was Jimin. He took over my mind like an eclipse. Blocking out the rest of the world.
"How do you do that," I ask, my tone in a dream-like state.
"Do what?" He asks innocently.
"Just take over my mind. Become the only thing I can focus on." My cheeks heat up with my confession. Sending a wave of pink across the bottom half of my face.
"It's my special charm." He says, unbuckling his seatbelt. "We should get inside." He suggests, cocking his eyebrow. My heart beats faster, pounding in my chest. We both get unbuckled and quickly grab our things from the backseat. On the way to our apartment, we don't talk. Instead, we hold hands and glance at each other. Giggling nervously when our eyes make contact. I take Jimin's bag and he opens our front door. When it unlocks he turns and takes his bag back. With his free hand, he grabs my waist and pulls me into his chest, taking me into another kiss.
"I like this confident Jimin," I mutter into the kiss. He hums happily and opens the door and pulls us inside.
"Well well well." Jimin and I pull away from each other in shock when the strange voice speaks out of the dark. I frantically look around but the living room was too dark. My hand searched around the wall and flipped on the light switch.
"Mother?!" Jimin yelps out, his eyes going wide.
"Jimin my dear boy. Your home!" His mother jumps off the couch and throws herself onto Jimin. Forcing him into a hug.
"Get off of me." Jimin grips her arms tightly and pulls her off.
"No no, my son. I'm here to save you. From that witch!" This is when his mother turns to me, pointing a finger at me.
"Excuse me?" I say, offended by her name-calling.
"You heard me right, son snatcher. You took my son away you bitch! I'm here to take what's mine!" Now it was Jimin's turn to become offended.
"How did you get in here." His eyes become dark and his voice deepens. Reminding me of that day with Jackson.
"Son, I'm here to save you." She turns back to her son and grips desperately to his shirt.
"How. Did. You. Get. In. Here." He once again rips his mother away from him. He refuses to look at her, preferring instead to look at the ceiling.
"I still have a key from when you lived here." His mother admits, pulling a small silver key out of her pocket. He grabs the key and shoves it into his pocket.
"Now get out." He growls, pointing to the open door.
"But-"
"Stop. I don't want to hear it. Now get out before I call the police." He pulls out his phone and prepares to dial. His mother cowers behind him.
"Fine, but I will come back for you my son." Jimin follows her out the door and slams it behind her. He sighs and falls against the door.
"I'm so sorry y/n. I brought this into your life." I drop my bag, letting it fall to my feet.
"No no no Jimin, please don't think that way." In a few steps, I'm next to him and taking him into my arms. "Please. I choose you Jimin, I knew she would try to come after us. I just wasn't expecting it to happen too soon." He pulls away from the door and leans against me.
"I just want to hide in bed." He mutters into my neck and I nod, running a hand through his hair.
"Come on then. Let's go upstairs." I quickly lock the door and put in the chain just in case she wanted to come back. We walk up the stair, his arms around me the whole time.
