Asher's POV
"What are we going to do?" I asked but Matt looked like he was thinking about the same question. This is really too much for me and it is all happening at once 'can't a person take a break' I sighed sitting back down on the bed feeling lost, ever since we mated it's like we just set everything to start happening. It's like it was a trigger of all the things that are happening right now, I feel bad that am the one who asked for it too soon, Now Matt is being stressed out because of me
"Can you stop doing that" Matt yelled but then I remembered we can feel each other's feelings "stop feeling guilty please" I sat on the bed and he sat next to me "we need to do this together instead of you feeling guilty and I can never regret what we did even if all of this is happening" I smiled giving him a kiss.
"Okay, what are we going to do?" I asked again because I have no knowledge on how to rule or how to even get people who will join. Who will even accept joining if both vampires and werewolves will be living together, this is the silliest task I have ever heard.
"First of all I need to tell Alpha Derrick about all of this, he was a leader once" he got up giving me his hand to hold "he might know how to help us" I took his hand and we made our way out of the room both of us still in our night clothes, which consists of shorts and a big shirt which is Matt's and he is wearing shorts and a vest
"Why do you call Derrick, Alpha Derrick instead of dad" I asked smiling up at him and he smiled back shaking his head
"I don't know I guess am not used to it" he said as we got to the other side of the hallway to Derrick's room "it's not like I don't accept him, I just...ugh...you know not comfortable with it maybe" he shrugged making me laugh
"You're really cute when frustrated" he looked at me with disbelief in his eyes, he even stopped walking to looked at me
"I think your mistaken mister, did you mean handsome, sexy, georgous and so much more but never cute" he smiled and I smiled with him. I want to frustrate him more so that he can have a minute to forget about what the moon Goddess said
"Aww, you denying it makes you adorable" his mouth fell open making me laugh. He closed it and pouted like a kid, I pinched his cheeks "so cute" I said pecking his cheeks then his nose
"Asher seriously, can't you just admit that am handsome" he said pulling me into him "why do you have to be difficult" I jumped into him with my hands around his neck and my legs around his torso, he rolled his eyes making me giggle
"Is your ego wounded" I cooed smiling while looking into his eyes
"Yes, matter of fact it is"
"Okay Mr. Cute" I kissed him lightly before jumping off of him "we have somewhere to be"
"You will pay for it A-"
"Why are you yelling?" Derrick asked with standing out of his room, with his eyes half asleep. He is only wearing pants without a shirt and man he is built just like his son, if Matt is going to age like that, I won't be complaining.
"Sorry but we need to talk to you" I said to Derrick and he opened his door wider so that we can pass through. I pulled Matt's hand and whispered in his ear "now that is what they call handsome Mr. Cute" he looked at his dad in disbelief and I smirked winking at him. I looked at Derrick who is trying so hard to stifle his laugh but he failed miserably.
I blushed feeling embarrassed that he heard me say that about him but the truth had to be told. I walked past him getting inside his room "I won't let you live with me, your distracting my mate now he thinks am the cute version" I heard Matt complain, I laughed sitting down on the couch in Derrick's room. Matt came and sat to close to me while holding my hand tightly
"Don't you think that what Asher said is true" Matt glowed while glaring at his dad making me and Derrick burst out laughing "anyway, what did you want to talk about"
"Yeah, I met the moon Goddess in my dream" Derrick stiffened "she wants me and Asher to save her people from Lashyall and also create a pack of both werewolves and vampires in 2 weeks"
"You didn't tell me she told us to save his people and who is Lashyall" I asked and Matt told us the story of Lashyall and Steven White 'so that is how the war became to be' stupid love, but I can't blame Steven for believing Lashyall when she lied about the because when you fall so blindly, that person can kill you but you will still love them.
"So she wants you two to defeat her and save her people" Derrick asked and Matt nodded "then make a pack of werewolves and vampires in 2 weeks, you're kidding"
"Ah that was kind of my fault" Matt replied scratching his neck
"What do you mean?" I asked
"She was mad at me for us mating this late since we found each other" Matt answered "but when she told me about Lashyall's story and the promise to Steven" Matt looked around the room ashamed "I kind of told her that how can her stupid promise be more important than her people-"
"What?" Derrick yelled
"It was not to insult her but she got mad and said she will punish me, that is why we have 2 weeks to finish or I lose my mate" I was shocked by the revelation "she said that the punishment is not over, that she will do others am really sorry Asher" I looked at him and he feels guilty
"It's fine but what are we going to do?" I asked looking at Derrick
"You both have to finished her task" we both looked at Derrick "I think you have seen part of her wrath now if you want to see what she is capable of then don't do what she wants" I felt Matt panic. I held his shoulder to try and comfort him but he is scared of losing me
"Where are we going to start from, she gave us little time" I asked
"She was disappointed that it took us long to mate because we didn't trust her" Matt said putting his head in his hands "l am not a leader, I don't even know what to do as a leader and we have to convince them to join and if I don't do it I might lose you" he stood up "excuse me" he moved out of the room, I wanted to go after him but Derrick stopped me
"I will make some phone calls and see what I can do" he said making me nod "but if he believes that he is not a leader then he is going to panic and mess this up, try to show him what he can do" I nodded walking out of the room following Matt.
I looked for him, following his scent and emotions. He is breathless which means he is running. I walked out of the house and ran to where we were yesterday, I found his clothes on the floor all wripped. I decided to give him space and time to process all of these when suddenly a bright light appeared in front of me making me cover my eyes
The light decreased and out appeared a strong woman with eyes like the moon. I know who she is so I bowed down in submission "I know your wondering what I want with you" I heard her move and soon I felt her lift me up "I want my people to be together as one and I need the both of you as leader's but I have noticed something. Matt doesn't want to lead and that will make him fail, I picked the both of you because I know what your capable of, help him see what he can do"
"Okay but why did you threaten to take me away from him if he doesn't accomplish his task"
"He angered me and he needed a push. no matter what, he has to face his punishment and am not changing that"
"Okay so how do we find this Lashyall" she laughed taking a step back from me. But her laugh is weird, it's like it's even foreign to her too
"I was going to help you with that too but your mate has a big mouth, I will let you two find it out" the strong light came back
"But they are your people the least you-" she disappeared "can do is save them" I finished even though I already know that she is gone
"Now this is fucked"
