The Quantum Tunnel breaks the silence in the Avengers Compound. Before it powers down, Eight figures exit the tunnel. They land on the platform in the same circular formation as when they went in.
To the rest of the world, they've only been gone for a few seconds. For them, it's been a brutal few hours.
At the time they entered the tunnel, they were a party of nine, now, sadly, they're one less.
Everyone removed their red and white protective suits, looking to their neighbor.
"Did we get 'em all?" Professor Hulk asks.
Rhodes smiles, "Are you telling me this actually worked?" he questions, in disbelief.
"The rabbit and I saw Loki and Sarah on Asgard!,"
Boom.
Thesound that Clint's knees make as they hit the platform grabs everyone's attention away from Thor. Eyes lock on him and his pensive sadness.
Professor Hulk takes a cautious step from behind Steve, more so to catch his balance as he asks the antagonizing question, "Clint, Where's Nat?"
Clint, unable to muster up enough strength to give Professor Hulk an answer, just stares up, longingly into Steve and Bruce's eyes, hoping they would understand. And they did.
At that moment, that brief exchange told the Time Heist team what became of their friend.
Professor Hulk collapses in his grief, his fist, as well as, his knees, hitting the platform.
