While Steve waits for Carol to return, he looks longingly at his Compass, staring at the newspaper of Peggy and a recent picture of his daughter, Sarah.

Natasha eyes him, allowing him the time to ponder his thoughts before telling him some encouraging words, "This is gonna work Steve...We'll get her back, We'll get 'all' of them back,"
"I know it will," Steve lets out a sigh, " 'cause I don't know what I'm going to if it doesn't,"
Finally, Carol returns flying up to the window, her voice coming through the comms, "No satellites, no ships, no armies-
Bruce tilts his head in confusion.
"-no ground defenses of any kind...It's just him," Carol concludes.
"Then that's enough," Nebula adds.

On the planet, solely named 'the Garden,' Thanos limps through the path of vegetation. The stone-less gauntlet in his left hand picks up one final fruit and places it into his sack.
once again, Thanos finds himself limping, this time up the stairs to his quiet place of residence. The crackling fire was the only sound for miles, that is until a thud catches his attention.
A ray of light burst through the wooden panels, on instinct Thanos uses the gauntlet to cover his face.
He lets out a grunt, the heat causing him more pain then he expected.
Captain Marvel flies in, Knocking thanos down as she rolls to the side. She manages to wrap her arms around his neck before he could stand up. With her foot, she keeps the gauntlet down, pushing it further and further into the flames. She new that would hold him for long, lucky an iron hand emerges from underneath it.
The culprit being, Bruce Banner, in the Hulk-buster suit. As Thanos reaches for the Gauntlet, War Machine glides in, grabbing Thano's other hand.
Thanos was now incapacitated. With every move he made the heroes surrounding him, held on tighter.
Thor made himself known. He flies in and with a swift slash of storm-breaker, Thanos arm came clean off. Thanos lets out a painful cry, however, no one seemed to care.
With the hole that Thor made, Steve walks in, Natasha, Rocket and Nebula not far behind.
Rocket walks straight to the gauntlet, as he flips it over he notices something startling, "Oh no," he mutters.
'Where are the stones?'
That seems to be the question on everyone's mind. Steve stares down at the gauntlet, in that moment, He lost all his hope. Now desperate to find answers, Steve asks Thanos, "Where are the stones?"
Carol tightens her grip around Thanos' neck, "Answer the question,"
Through gritted teath Thanos responds, "The universe required correction," Steve takes a step back," After that, the stones served no purpose, beyond 'temptation',"
"You murdered trillions!"Bruce yells using the Hulk-buster to push the Titan to the ground.
Thanos spits back, "You should be grateful!" he then recieves a fist to his face.
Natasha stares down Thanos, only able to hold her tears in for so long before asking, "Where are the stones?"
"Gone," Thanos breaths, "reduced to atoms,"
"You used them two days ago," Bruce exclaims.
Thanos stares at Steve, mokingly, "I used the Stones to destroy the Stones...It nearly... killed me. But the work is done. It always will be. I am... inevitable."
"We have to tear this place apart...he-he-he has to be lying," Rhodes stutters.
"My father is many things. A Liar is not one of them," Nebula mutters stepping closer to her adoptive father.
When Thanos looks to Nebula there is a look of tenderness in his eyes as he says, "Ahhhh...Thank you daughter," Nebula averts her eyes, "Perhaps I treated you too harshly..."
Having had enough, Thor lifts his hammer, doing the one thing he should've done three weeks ago.
Nebuala hesitantly wipes Thano's blood off her right eye.
"What...What did you do?" exclaimes Rocket.
Thor takes a couple of steady breathes, "I went for the head," He then leaves everyone in total shock.
