VI. Chapter 121: "Save one person,"

The Nightcrawler comes to a full stop, one by one the heroes jump out. Starting with Batman followed by J'onn, Diana, Victor, and Barry,"

Bruce takes a look around before asking, "Where are we Alfred?" into his comes.

     "Braxton Island," Alfred responds, "You should be directly under the venting tower for the tunnel...Now, look to your left, you should see a staircase. it will give you access to the machine  room,"

They now stare at a broken bridge, "Define access," Victor says stepping forward.

     "One at a time, the bridge may not-"

Barry reaches the otherside before Bruce could finish his sentence"-hold,"

One by one, the rest of them shows off their special abilities, Diana and Cyborg simply jumps, and J'onn flies over, while Batman uses his grappling hook.

'He's going to kill all of us,'

'I'm going to die '

'No one will save us,'

J'onn grunts when the scared voices bombardes his mind, "What is it?" Batman turns to him seeing his discomfort.

     "They're just below us...Steppenwolf is there, he's torturing them...Killing them," J'onn informs Bruce sadly.

     "Just tell me the truth,"

     "Please, just let us go," The woman begs. Steppenwolf lifts her up higher, "I have a family!" She cries.

     "Wrong answer," Stepphenwolf spits.

In the moment, the other's that are captured could hear cracking and a body being dropped to the floor,

     "Human's," Steppenwolf says in amusement, "The stench of your fear is making my soldier's hungry," his eyes lands on a man, who's breathing is more so, then the others, "Shall I feed them," he grips the old man by his janitor jumpsuit.

     "You've been near the mother box,"

Wonder Woman kneels, closly eyeing the confrontation below.

     "The scent is on you-"

     "Please we have families,"

      "Why does everyone keep telling me that?"

Barry takes an unsettling step back, "Okay. Here's the thing," he swallows, "See, I'm afraid of bugs, and...Guns. And tall people. And murder," shaking his head, "I can't be here. It's cool, you guys seem ready to do  battle and stuff, but...Full transparency, I've never done battle. I just push some people and run away," Barry admits.

Batman sighs, "Save one,"

     "One?" Barry questions. One what?

     "Save one person,"

     "Wait, which one?" Barry asks.

     "Don't talk. Don't fight. Get in. Get one out,"

      "And then?" Barry questions.

     "You'll now,"

     "Useless," They hear Steppenwolf yell.

Steppenwold tosses the Janitor to the side, "You then," His eyes land on Silas Stone, he grips is jacket, "Where is my mother Box?"

Victor steps forward.

     "I'll die before I tell you," Silas spits, not a hint of fear in his voice.
