Prompt: Making fun of one another
Kurapika sat up in bed. What time was it? He rubbed his eyes and looked at the clock. 12:15 p.m. He climbed out of bed stumbling as he did. He needed to get dressed but his back hurt. He fell back into the bed and groaned. "Leorio," he called. He was off of work today, right?
"Yes," Leorio called back.
Kurapika lifted his head. "Can you come here," he asked.
A few seconds later Leorio opened the door. "What do you need," he asked in a sweet voice.
Kurapika looked at him. "Can you help me," he asked.
Leorio chuckled. "I'll get a bath ready for you," he said. "You stay there for now."
Kurapika groaned. "Of course I will," he said. "I can't move Leorio. And it's your fault." Leorio rolled his eyes and walked into the bathroom.
A few minutes later Leorio walked back into the bedroom. He sat down beside Kurapika, who was still lying on the bed. "Your bath is ready," he said.
Kurapika looked at him. "Can you carry me," he asked. "As I said, I can't move."
Leorio smiled and picked up his boyfriend. He was carrying him bridal style his arm around his neck. He carried him into the bathroom and set him in the tub.
Kurapika sighed in relief as the hot water hit his skin. "This is nice," he said. Sitting beside him on a closed toilet seat Leorio laughed.
"Of course you would say that," he said. "I took a shower."
Kurapika looked up at him and glared. "Of course you did," he said. "You always take showers in the morning."
Leorio ruffled Kurapika's hair. "It's proper hygiene," he said. "You should try it sometime."
Kurapika sunk lower in the tub. "You should try not wasting fifty hours to touch a woman," he said. "And here you are, giving me, a male a bath. All because you broke me last night."
"You should try not asking for something you'll regret."
"You should try not starting arguments."
"You should try growing taller."
Kurapika was silent. He sunk lower in the tub his nose now underwater and his arms crossed. Leorio looked at him and frowned. He squatted on the ground next to the tub. "I'm sorry baby," he apologized. "I didn't know you were insecure about that."
Kurapika lifted his head out of the water. "It's not that," he said. "I've grown to like my height. It's just I don't know how to insult you back."
Leorio tried not to smile. "W-what," he asked.
Kurapika looked at him. "Besides the two things, I just said you're," Kurapika paused and waved his hand in a circular motion. "Perfect. You're tall, muscular, Hispanic, and a doctor. I'm short, not too muscular, a Kurta, and part of the mafia. Either that or I just don't have a job."
Leorio gave up and smiled. "Thank you," he said. "But you're great too. And God knows I'm not perfect. Even you know that, Pika." He lifted Kurapika's bangs and kissed his forehead. "I think it's time to get out of the bath," he said. "I don't want my boyfriend to look like a prune."
Leorio picked Kurapika up and carried him to the bed. He set him down and kissed his forehead again. "You're beautiful Pika," he said. "Just remember that."
Kurapika smiled. He loved his boyfriend. He loved him so much.
