Prompt: Inspired by @mintyron_art 's drawing(s) on Instagram
AU: Photographer Leorio and his museLeorio leaned back in his chair. He was bored. So bored. Nothing seemed to be good enough to shoot today. His camera was being wasted. He wanted to make a new catalog. But he couldn't if he didn't have pictures of anything. So, trying to find something, he sat on the patio of a cafe. The scent of fresh baked goods and coffee was all he could smell. He took a sip of his coffee.
Leorio began to look around. For something. Anything. He lifted his camera to his eye and scanned the patio. Nothing looked good through the lens. He sighed and set it down. Tapping his finger rhythmically he hummed a tune. His eyes continued to scan his surroundings. Maybe there was something he missed. Maybe. And he was right.
Across the patio sat a boy. He was reading a book. But he was beautiful. Blonde hair, blue eyes, fair skin. Absolutely beautiful. He was dressed in blue jeans and a matching jean jacket. Leorio lifted his camera and zoomed in. Yep. Perfect. He lowered his camera without taking a picture. He needed to ask first.
Leorio walked over to the table. "Excuse me," he said. The boy looked up. "May I help you," he asked. Leorio cleared his throat. "Uhm. I was sitting over there and I just couldn't help but notice you from across the cafe. You're beautiful." The boy laughed. He had a beautiful laugh. "Thank you but I regret to inform you that I'm a male." Leorio's face turned red. "No- uh- I didn't mean it like that," he lifted his camera, "I'm a photographer. See? And I was wondering if you'd like to model for a photoshoot or catalog."
Kurapika was honestly shocked. Not that he thought he wasn't beautiful. Did he think he was beautiful? Yes. Attractive? Yes. Cute? Of course. But a model? He'd never thought about it.
He looked the photographer up and down. He looked promising. What could go wrong? It was photography. "I'd love to," he responded. He never regretted saying those words. And Leorio would never regret hearing them.

"Okay, look over there," Leorio said. "Hold that stare and," he snapped the shot, "perfect." Kurapika looked over at him. "Really," he asked. "You said that was the last picture, right? Can I get off the bridge?" Leorio chuckled. "Of course," he said.
Kurapika hopped down. He shivered and attempted to close the open shirt. "It's so windy," he complained. "Why'd we do this photo today?" "Because of the wind. Your hair looked beautiful. Golden, even." Kurapika felt his face heat up. Leorio always knew what to say. He walked up to the taller man. "Can I have that jacket from earlier," he asked. "Just for the walk to the apartment?" Leorio pointed to the bag of clothing. All the clothing Kurapika had changed in and out of today. He began to dig through it and pulled out the black coat. He slipped it over his shoulders. With that he stood aside, waiting for his work partner to finish packing up the equipment.
"How long will it take to process the photos," Kurapika asked. Leorio shrugged. "I don't know," he replied. "Just don't interrupt me while I do it." Kurapika chuckled. "How long have you been doing this," he asked. Leorio slowly answered, "Three years." "Then how do you still not know how long it takes?" "I never pay attention to the time." Kurapika sighed, a smile still painted on his face. "Of course you don't," he replied. "Mr. Leorio."
Leorio glared at Kurapika. He nags a younger fan or coworker once and he has to make a big deal of it.
"You're a slow walker," Leorio said. Kurapika tensed up. Leorio always did this. Next, he would say- "I want to get back quicker." With that, Leorio scooped Kurapika up and began running. Kurapika held on to the man's shirt. Crazy how close two people could get in less than a year.

Leorio walked out of the room he had been using as a darkroom. He was shuffling a stack of photos in his hand. Kurapika perked up. "Are they done," he asked. Leorio nodded. "Yep," he said. "Wanna see?" "Of course I do. Get over here."
Leorio sat next to Kurapika on the couch. A month after working together, they moved in together. It was easier for work. Besides, Kurapika needed somewhere to stay instead of hotels.
Kurapika went through the ten photos. He carefully examined each one. Then he got to the last one. The one on the bridge. Leorio was right. His hair did look pretty. It flowed in the wind, as did his earrings. The open shirt showed half of his chest but perfectly matched the black pants. The sunset gave a beautiful effect to the background. It made the land, the tiny mountains looked like silhouettes.
"Ooh, this one is so cool," Kurapika said. Leorio smiled. "You look amazing as always, sunshine." Kurapika blushed again. "Shut the fuck up," he muttered. But he couldn't help but smile. He loved that nickname. And of course, he loved Leorio. Though he would never admit it.
