Kurapika slammed his book shut. He stood up and stomped into the room across the hall, Leorio's study. Leorio looked up from his desk, a confused look on his face. Kurapika set his book on Leorio's desk. "Do you hear that?" He asked. Leorio was silent before he responded. "No?" Kurapika nodded, "Exactly. It's too quiet. Where are Gon and Killua?" Leorio stood. "I have no idea," he said walking out of the room. "GON! KILLUA! WHERE ARE YOU?"

The boys responded from upstairs. "We're up here!" Upstairs the boys snickered. They had a plan. Some stupid plan but they wanted some privacy. They wanted to leave the house and the adults wouldn't let them. "Not without adult supervision." And they were both "busy". Though Killua was sure, Kurapika could take them.

So he decided that he and Gon would lock them in a closet upstairs. The closet locked from the outside and was big enough for both Kurapika and Leorio (hopefully). It was also empty so there would be some extra space. While they were locked in, Gon and Killua would leave. They would let the adults out when they got back.

Gon and Killua heard footsteps race up the stairs. Killua nodded and he and Gon hid, leaving the closet door open. Kurapika and Leorio stood next to each other in front of the closet. "Where are they," Kurapika said again, obviously annoyed. At that moment, Killua and Gon came up behind them and pushed.

Leorio and Kurapika didn't realize what happened until Kurapika realized where his face was. It was right in front of Leorio's chest. He backed away as far as he could but it wasn't that far. He looked up at Leorio but couldn't see his face. It was too dark in the closet.

Leorio turned to the door. He hit his fist against the door. "Let us out," he said. "Now." Killua laughed. "No way," he replied. "Gon and I are leaving. Besides, you two need to get along better."

As Leorio continued arguing with Killua, Kurapika slumped down. He sat on the ground holding his knees to his chest. Five minutes later Kurapika looked up at Leorio. "Just give up already," he said. "They probably already left."

Leorio sighed and his hands dropped to his sides. "I guess you're right," he said. He walked over to stand across from the sitting Kurapika. He sat in front of the smaller male, putting his knees to his chest as well.

They were silent for a few minutes but soon enough Kurapika spoke. "So," he said. "I suppose we should do something to pass some time?" Leorio sighed. "I guess," he replied. "But what should we do?" Kurapika shrugged before he remembered how dark it was. "I don't know," he replied. "What about twenty questions?"

Leorio laughed. "Aren't we a little too old to be playing a high school game," he teased. Kurapika pouted. "Are we going to play or sit here in silence," he asked. His tone was bratty and Leorio again laughed. "I guess." Kurapika smiled but it was unseen by Leorio. "Okay," he said. "I go first." "Why you?" "Because it was my idea."

"Question one," Kurapika began. "I'm going to start simple. What's your favorite food?" Leorio smiled. "Enchiladas," he replied. "What's yours?" Kurapika laughed. "Is that the best question you have," he asked. Leorio huffed. "Yes, now respond."

Kurapika was silent for a moment but then replied, "Blueberries." Leorio chuckled. "That's a fruit. I want actual food. Like steak or something." Kurapika frowned. "Okay then," he said. "I like grilled chicken salad.

"I'm going to add a new rule. We'll take turns asking questions that both of us need to answer. How does that sound?" Leorio rolled his shoulders. "If it'll pass time," he said. "Let me think of one."

Leorio put his hand under his chin to think. "Here's one that I might have difficulty answering," he finally said. "What did you do to make money? You know after..."

Kurapika quickly answered. It's not that Leorio brought up his clan. It was the question itself. "Pass," he replied. "Now for my ques-" "Why'd you pass," Leorio asked leaning forward. He raised an eyebrow, obviously interested. Kurapika bit his lips and looked away. He soon realized that Leorio couldn't see him so it didn't matter if he avoided his gaze. He would only have to feel it.

"Well," Kurapika started. "I don't want to get into it. But I will never do it again. Though I did work in fast food for a bit." Kurapika looked up from the spot on the floor he was looking at. "How did you get money for yourself?"

Leorio put a hand on the back of his neck. "I will ask you not to tell," he said. "I stole things and sold them."

Kurapika sighed. "I can't blame you," he said. "I would've stolen too but I was too much of a pussy at the time. For some things."

"Okay, I have a good question," Kurapika perked up. "This may come off as a bit personal, is that okay?" Leorio nodded, "Ask away." Kurapika rested his chin in his hands. "What are your plans for the future," he asked. "I mean after you graduate med school? Like have you thought about marriage? Or kids?" Leorio smirked."Do you think about these things?" "Answer my question first."

Leorio sighed and leaned back as far as he could in the cramped closet. "Yeah, I guess," he said. "After I become a doctor I would like to get married. A family would be nice and I would provide for them. Yeah. I would like that," he looked over to Kurapika, "what about you? Have you thought of marrying some woman and settling down?"

Kurapika didn't know how to respond. Of course, he hasn't. Not with a woman anyway. He had never thought of any woman in that way. So he figured out what to say, "No. I've never actually thought about it." Lies.

They were silent before Leorio asked, "Can I ask a personal question?" Kurapika nodded before realizing it was too dark to see. "Sure." Leorio took a deep breath. "Why is it that you've never shown any interest in women?"

Kurapika suddenly became very grateful for the dark. His face was very red and Leorio was unable to see. "I-" he didn't know what to say. Or how to say it. He knew why. He was gay. Not just that he liked someone. Someone close to him.

"I don't like girls," Kurapika muttered. "I...like...guys." They were quiet. Quieter than before. Kurapika almost stopped breathing. Finally, Leorio spoke. "Kurapika, did you just come out to me...in a closet?"

Kurapika smiled. "I think so," he said. Leorio began to laugh. "In a closet?" he exclaimed. "What a coincidence!" Kurapika began to laugh too. "Yeah," he said. "I didn't even realize it."

Leorio stopped laughing, he looked at Kurapika, barely being able to make out his small figure. Kurapika stopped too and they were silent again. "What about you," Kurapika silently asked. "I mean is it just girls?"

Leorio was the one who wasn't sure how to answer this time. Was it? Was it just women?

"No," he responded. "It's not just women. I'm bisexual."

Kurapika smiled, he had a soft look in his eyes. If Leorio could see it he would've melted. Leorio cleared his throat. "I know I'm breaking the rules but," he started. "I have another question." "You can ask," Kurapika decided. "I don't mind."

Leorio took a deep breath. "Do you like anyone?" Kurapika's face got even redder. Yes, he did. "Yes," he responded. "I do." Immediately Leorio questioned him. "Really? Who? Do I know him?" Kurapika didn't have the time to respond to any of these questions. Leorio talked fast.

"This is awkward," Kurapika said without thinking. He quickly covered his mouth. "What," Leorio asked. "How is it awkward? Wait. Do you like m-" "Don't say it," Kurapika blurted. "It sounds embarrassing out loud." "So...it's a yes?" "Yes," Kurapika muttered.

Leorio stopped. "Well then," he said. "That's a shock." He nervously chuckled. Kurapika just dug his head in his knees. Leorio suddenly reached touched Kurapika's hand. "I think I like you too," he said. "If that doesn't sound too cheesy." Kurapika laughed. "It does."
