Leorio sighed as he fumbled with his keys. It was late but he had to stay at the hospital. There was a car crash and they needed all the help they could get. It made him feel bad, Kurapika always waited for him to get back from work. It wasn't fair.
Leorio successfully unlocked the door. Through the window, he could see that the lights were still on inside. He opened the door and smiled at what he saw. Kurapika was curled up on the couch with a book. His dog, Max was asleep on the floor next to him.
Leorio walked over to the couch next to his fiancé. He sat beside him and began to pet his head. Kurapika softly smiled. "Leorio," he whispered. Leorio smiled. "Yes, I'm here my dear," he said, then proceeded to kiss the top of his head.
Kurapika moved a bit, setting his head on Leorio's lap. "Can we go to bed," he asked in a whisper. Leorio nodded, "Of course." He lifted Kurapika and carried him to the bedroom, setting him on the bed. "Max," Kurapika called without opening his eyes. The puppy ran into the bedroom and jumped on the bed. Kurapika pat his head. "Good boy, Max, " he said.
Leorio changed out of his work clothes and lied down next to Kurapika. He reached over, turning off the light. He wrapped his arms around Kurapika, holding him close.
Kurapika held onto Leorio's shirt, keeping his head on his chest. He began to silently snore, falling asleep. Leorio smiled, running his fingers through the soft blonde hair. "Goodnight, Sunshine," he whispered, kissing Kurapika's head. Soon enough, they were both asleep.
