This is not a one-shot I just wanted to rant about a headcanon I have. Okay, okay, Leorio_Is_Hot came up with the breakfast idea🙄
Okay, so, in the 1999 version of Hunter X Hunter Leorio and Kurapika are with each other a lot. They've spent over ten nights/days with each other. And there are other headcanons that they stayed together for a bit after the exam arc. Which, based on a drama cd is practically canon. So I think that they have a morning routine that revolves around the other. Like "you do this while I do that".
So, after they went their separate ways, their routine was just messed up. I can imagine Kurapika's first morning staying with the Nostrades, he was a mess. He got toothpaste in his hair because he's used to Leorio holding it back for him. I believe Kurapika wears eyeliner (not as a feminine thing, just eyeliner) and used to have Leorio put it on for him. And because of that, he can't do it himself. So no eyeliner that day. He almost put another hole in his ear because Leorio used to help him with his earrings. And if he were to lose something, forget it, Leorio is better at finding things. If he's not there to find it what's the point of looking? And he makes too much food for himself due to how he used to make food for Leorio.
And then there's Leorio. Having trouble with his tie because Kurapika helped him with it. He has an extra hour on his hands because he doesn't have to wait for Kurapika to finish showering. Kurapika always cleaned his glasses/sunglasses (I headcanon Leorio to wear contacts) a bit better than he can himself so they're dirty now. And he gave up on breakfast. He burnt it but it's not like he could cook as good as Kurapika anyway.
