Chapter 8

Year 1803

Mirabel’s POV

 

“Mommy!” Lucile yells running into our home out in the woods of Italy “Aunt Beth is chasing me again!” she moaned giggling.

Just as she hid behind me, Beth came running in with her wolf claws out and her hands in a tickling motion “Come here my pretty and I will give you The Tickles!” she said in a witchy tone, which made me laugh.

Lucile and Beth seem to have a bond that Lillian and Beth never had, and it’s cute. Lillian tends to irritate Beth on purpose and finds it amusing.

I know Beth and I know she doesn’t really dislikes Lillian as it might seem, she really does love her. Beth just thinks Lillian’s fragile, and Beth just doesn’t want to hurt her or feel towards her in fear of losing her one day, as in death related.

But Beth has put that aside for she has become a true guardian angel towards Lucile. After she heard what happened to her, she just gave in. She went through the same thing. Both Beth’s real parents died and she was raised by her aunt.

“Never!” Lucile yelled running out the back door, smile wide showing off her missing front teeth. That child is so open with us, she hasn’t met anyone besides us and she envy’s me, which makes me a bit cautious.

Beth ran after her as I went outside to pick some fruits and vegetables for dinner tonight. Just as I finished Lillian came running back in her fox form… she was gorgeous. Her white and black marble fox with blue eyes came running towards me. She had caught a dear and is struggling to carry it which made me giggle.

As she came closer she shifted back into her human form with clothes on. Half Angel’s never go nude after shifting back. The White, Black, Silver and Golden wolves also have their clothes on after shifting back, I would know. I am the first white wolf in history.

Every 100 years there is a white wolf, black wolf, silver wolf and gold wolf born and they are more powerful than any werewolf, especially the White wolf who is always the Alpha of the 4 types of wolves.

The White represents pureness, which baffles me since I’m so dark on the inside. Black represents Darkness which is more of what I’m like… I guess my mother saw the pureness deep inside of me.

“I would have caught a bigger one Bell but… considering my size…” Lillian says snapping me out of thought. I give her the basket of fruits and vegetables and take the dear from her grasp “It is quite enough Lillian. We don’t need much meat, we’re only 4 people and I have no idea what Beth is making anyway” I tell her eyeing the dead carcass.

“Beth! Lillian caught a dear. Whatever you’re planning on making, I guess u should start immediately!” I yell after her as she chases Lucile.

Almost in a blink of an eye she’s in front of me examining the carcass “I’ll go get Lucile while you cook” I tell Beth and she hums in response while Lillian and I go get Lucile, but the problem was… we couldn’t find her.

My mothering instincts took over and I opened my wings and flew up examining the area. I spotted Lucile’s unconscious body surrounded by coyotes’ and almost immediately I fly down towards her like an arrow.

My feet made contact with one of the coyote’s jaws and kick it out of place. The filthy dogs stood there stunned as I stood there angered “Shift before I burn you all to dust!” I yell at them in my Alpha tone.

The biggest one stepped forward and changed “We just want the girl. We followed her here from London after finding out that she was the daughter of one of my former pack member’s… a traitor” he spit down at my little Lucile and I shook of anger.
