"Just wanted to say hey, haven't heard your voice in a while." My eyes widened and I dropped my phone. I quickly picked it back up though.
"Dad?!" I asked I was confused, worried, scared and a little happy
"Yeah Javen, it's me." He sighed.
"Where's Jonnie? Why you got her phone? Are you in ATL? How did you get h-"
"Jonnie is fine, she's asleep ok. Yes I'm in Atlanta and I drove here. No I'm not on no kidnapping shit or am I trying to hurt you or Jonnie." He said.
"But if you come back to what, you and Jonnie's house? I'll explain everything." He said.
"I don't trust you......"
"I understand that but I promise I'm not trying to hurt you Jay. I just want to talk." He said.
"No....."
"Javen please babygirl. I just wanna talk to you. Please, I'm not gonna hurt you ok. I didn't hurt Jonnie." He said.
"You keep sayin' you wanna talk and das' what we doin' right na'." I said.
"Khari, I would really hate to have to come and find you. Because when I do imma really hurt you, so I suggest you bring yo ass over here." He said before hanging up.
I started bouncing my leg up and down knowing he was serious. But I didn't want to go, at least not alone.
Somebody sat beside me and I looked over seeing it was Kentrell.
"You ok?" He asked and I shrugged. I really didn't know, I was very much confused at the moment.
"Can you take me home?" I asked and he nodded.
"Everything ok?" He asked and I shrugged again.
"My dad is at the house, I don't know what he up to or what he want. But he said he wants to talk to me, but I don't want to go by myself." I said.
"So is this your way of asking me to go with you?" He asked and I nodded.
"Ight come on." He said getting up and I remained seated.
"Jay, come on." He said and I sighed getting up walking slowly.
"What's wrong with you?" He chuckled and I looked at him.
"You don't know the real reason me and Jonnie had to come down here do you?" I asked.
"You told me it was to get away from your dad..........wanna add more to that?" He asked.
"Can we go get ice cream after this?" I asked with a smile.
