Skylar Honor Harrison"I'm back!" I smiled hearing Javen's voice.
"You sound happy boo! How was school?" I asked.
"Today was actually good. Nobody really bothered me, which had me worried." She said coming to sit down on the couch.
Then Kentrell came in.
"I wonder why nobody bothered you." I said peeping the gun Kentrell had tucked down in his pants.
"Same, but I was grateful and didn't question it." She said.
"Jonnie ok?" She asked and I nodded.
"She says there's a little bit of pain when she walks but she's fine. Bruises are barley visible now and she looks better." I said and she nodded.
"Imma go check on her." She said getting up and walking away.
"Kentrell." He looked at me.
"Don't think I ain't see that gun. Don't you think that's a little risky to go to school with?" I asked.
"I don't where her dad is ok, he could pop out anytime. I have to be ready. Plus nobody fucked with her today, scary asses." He said making me laugh.
"Now what happens if one of them snitch?"
"Then I guess they snitch the fuck." I shook my head.
"Where Ben and them?"
"Still out looking for her dad." I said and he nodded.
"Y'all really gon kill him? Maybe he just want-"
"Maybe nothing Sky. They both scared of the nigga so we gon take care of it. You always tryna save somebody life." He said.
"I'm just saying Kentrell, you never think before you do stuff." I said and he waved me off walking away.
He really didn't though, none of them did.
DaiJianna came out her room coming to sit down beside me.
"You Ight today?" I asked and she nodded.
"I told my mama and she hung up in my face." She chuckled and I shook my head.
"I try to make her proud, I promise I do." She said as a tear rolled down her face. I moved over to her giving her a hug.
DaiJianna's mother wasn't a great one. She's the only reason why DaiJianna is trying to have kids. Her mother wants a grandchild so bad, her sister can't get pregnant so her mother wants one from her.
It was sad, especially since DaiJianna couldn't keep the a baby.
"You need to talk to her about this baby thing. You're a kid, you should be able to live your life without feeling like you have to do something and if you don't you're disappointing somebody. Plus it's only breaking your heart, and not only you." I said and she nodded.
