Demi
I whimpered as I dropped back against the bed, tears slowly rolling down my cheeks. Kobe pressed a kiss to my temple as my grip tightened around his hand.
"You're doing so well, Sweetheart."
"I-I don't...Is she even moving?" I glanced briefly to mom as she wiped my hair off my sweaty forehead.
"She's moving, Demi, trust me."
"Ow" I nuzzled my face into Kobe's neck as the contraction built.
"Push for me, Demi" I tightened my grip on Kobe's hand as I pushed, my teeth biting slightly into my lower lip.
"Baby, breathe" I released a breath and whimpered. "I'm so proud of you, Baby" Kobe pressed a kiss to my temple before I pulled away from him, dropping back against the bed.
"Demi, I can see baby's head, okay?" I nodded, adjusting myself ever so slightly on the bed with the help of my mom and Kobe. "Keep pushing like you have been, Sweetheart, okay?" I nodded, clutching Kobe's hand as the next contraction built. Kobe pressed his forehead against my temple.
"Keep breathing, Baby. You're doing amazing. I'm so proud of you" his words helped tremendously for me to find the strength.
"Baby girl has some hair on her, Demi" I choked on a sob as I slumped back against the bed. "We should have baby's head out with the next few pushes, okay?"
"Mom..." I glanced briefly to my mom who stood at my side. "How-How did you do this 3 times?" she lightly chuckled, her fingers stroking through my hair.
"You forget about the pain once you have your baby, Dems" she pressed a kiss to my temple as I whimpered, the contraction building up again.
"Push for me, Demi" I pushed the hardest I could. "Okay, Demi, I want you to just stop pushing for a second" my eyebrows furrowed together, my heart beginning to hammer against my chest. "I know you're going to but I need you to not panic, Demi, but baby has the cord around her neck" I glanced to Kobe who's eyes filled with concern, worry and panic.
"What?"
"I just need you to pant for me, Demi, so that I can remove the cord from around baby's neck, okay?" I nodded, my tears just falling faster down my cheeks. "Pant and push for me, Demi" I began to pant, keeping my eyes locked with Kobe's who panted along with me to guide me along. "That's amazing, Sweetheart."
"H-Have you-you moved the cord?"
"I have. I just need you to push now, Demi, okay?" I nodded, pushing with everything that I had in me.
"It burns."
"I know, Sweetheart, but you're doing tremendously" Kobe's other hand ran along my thigh as he pressed a kiss to my temple. "Give me one more big push, Demi, and you'll have your baby."
"Come on, Baby. We can do this together, okay?" I locked eyes with Kobe's.
"I'm tired."
"I know, Baby" he pressed a gentle kiss to my forehead. "Come on, Demi, you can give us one more big push" I tightened my grip around his hand and pushed with the last little bit of energy I had. "Come on, Baby. I'm so proud of you. We're so close to meeting baby girl, DemDem" I dropped back against the bed, tears rolling down my cheeks as the pressure released from between my legs.
"Why isn't she crying?" it felt like forever but in reality it was a matter of seconds before the sweetest sound filled the room.
"Congratulations, Mama" I tiredly smiled up at the ceiling, glancing to Kobe who cupped my chin in his hand and pressed a kiss to my lips. "We just need to get baby girl cleaned up, okay? Would Kobe like to cut the cord?" his eyes filled up with shock. I gave him a nod and my smile grew as he wiped at his cheeks and shakily cut the cord. "You'll have your baby soon, Demi, okay?" I nodded, watching as they took my screaming daughter over to the crib in the corner of the room.
"Go and be with her" I glanced up at Kobe.
"Yo-You want me...?"
"Go" I lightly shoved him in the side. He nervously chuckled, wiping at his cheeks as he headed towards the crib, the smile on my face just growing as his lips spread into a smile. I kept my grip on mom's hand as I delivered the placenta, my eyes constantly dancing to my baby girl though.
"That's all perfect, Demi. You didn't tear either so you won't need any stitches."
"Thank god" Dr Anderson lightly chuckled.
"We'll get baby over to you, Demi" I nodded, glancing over to Kobe and my heart burst as he began towards me with baby girl curled up in his arms.
"Hi" tears began to roll down my cheeks. "Meet your baby girl, Mama" my heart burst.
"Hi Baby" I cooed, stroking the back of my finger along her cheek. "You're so beautiful, Baby Girl."
"You want to hold her?"
"She looks pretty content" I adjusted myself and lightly pat the bed beside me, asking for Kobe to sit beside me.
"Baby..."
"Sit" he rolled his eyes and lowered himself down onto the bed. I leant my head against his shoulder and smiled down at my daughter. "Hi Baby Girl" her eyes fluttered. "Are you going to open those big, beautiful eyes, Baby?" she just yawned and then settled back against Kobe's chest. "She loves her Bebe" he chuckled and pressed a kiss to the top of my head.
"I love you."
"I love you too" I glanced up at him and we shared a kiss. "Thank you for everything" he shook his head and smiled.
"I couldn't have been anywhere else."
"Oh and thank you for crying" he rolled his eyes as I lightly giggled. "I love you, and your tears."
"Shut up" I giggled, cuddling myself into his side as we just stared down at my daughter, observing every little detail.
