Depression the most known disease
But the hardest to treat
The fact that you're depressed is sad
So you don't tell anyone
Depression eats you alive till you're numb
Numb enough to reach for the ledge.
Sometimes so numb that the ledge is the last thing you see.
As you plummet to your freedom from such an invisible disease.
Depression isn't a joke so don't laugh.
Depression isn't a sin so don't hate.
Depression is a mental disease that the cure is the most simple but the hardest to acquire
The cure for depression is love, acceptance, compassion and understanding.
So drop your pills because they'll make the numbness go away.
If you can't feel the numb you'll never know how to handle the sadness.
If you can't feel you can't heal.
