Two weeks later
Georgia sat on the lap of Seamus Finnigan, twiddling her hair and giggling at him flirtatiously. George was sat next to Mila on the sofa of the Gryffindor common room, clenching his fists and attempting to keep his composure.
The Gryffindor January party was always an event looked forward to by the Hufflepuff girls of Dorm twenty seven, but this year would be different.
Kiara sighed, she sat alone on an armchair at a distance from the crowd, swirling around her Glass of Prosecco, already wanting to retire to bed. She couldn't leave without Georgia though. She glanced over to the Hufflepuff, who she could tell had already drank more than necessary.
Kiara wasn't sure how she'd even been persuaded to attend the event in the first place. Somewhere between Cedric and Georgia's pleading, she ended up agreeing to go. Not that she had been around Georgia much these days, she was too occupied with a catastrophic mission of trying to make George jealous, a mission she fervently denied.
She missed Adele, she even missed Draco. He'd been avoiding her for weeks now, every time she tried pulling him aside he completely blanked her or gave her an absurd look like she was just a stranger. Bizarrely, he was acting friendly with Nott and his old group again, but what was most perplexing about his Slytherin return was that he was accompanied by Adele.
She assumed he'd gotten through to her, but had no idea how. She had tried on numerous occasions to ask but hadn't got an answer on the situation from either of them, considering they both avoided her at every cost. They walked the corridors like a force to be reckoned with, the school's most impressive power couple, stylish and utterly threatening. A very own bonnie and Clyde.
Hermione was in a never ending argument with Ron, Harry was focused on the tournament, and with Amelia and Belle being occupied with their boyfriends, the only person who Kiara could really talk to these days was Cedric, but nothing was really new there.
And Georgia- well... Georgia,
Georgia grasped Seamus' jumper and kissed him suddenly, heatedly, causing a few wolf whistles to emerge from Gryffindor.
Kiara raised an eyebrow at her bestfriend and took a sip of the Prosecco, letting the alcohol burn down her throat. Talk about a bold move.
George stood up, pushing Mila off his arm and walked over to the drinks table near Kiara's armchair, clearly agitated.
"Don't let her get to you Georgie," Kiara heard his twin console him.
"She's doing it on purpose." George grit his teeth.
"Do the same." Fred shrugged.
Terrible advice, Kiara thought.
But low and behold, in typical Weasley fashion, George stride towards Mila, confidently pulling her over his shoulders and spinning her around, causing her to squeal with laughter.
Later
"Bye Seamus," Georgia winked at him as she left the Gryffindor party, alone.
She walked back to her own house, feeling conflicted.
She knew George must've been jealous and yet he had the audacity to ignore her every ploy. Instead of getting triggered, he was playing her at her own game, throwing around Batbright like some rag doll.
Not that she cared about that anymore, this was about revenge.
She began devising new plans in her head to provoke him, hoping to receive a better reaction next time.
