Chapter 48

Teagan arrived back at her and Emma's dorm room, and once she walked in she was ambushed by Emma running into her arms.

"Girl, is it true that Ben got captured by pirates on the Isle? Wait... You went to the Isle without telling me? How could you do that? I thought we were friends!" Emma exclaimed without taking a breath in between.

"Okay, Em, you need to breathe first of all, and second, I couldn't exactly tell anyone that we were going to the Isle." Teagan responded. "A lot happened there and I will fill you in on all of the details, but I do have some exciting news..."

"You finally punched James in the face?"

"No, but I wanted to." Teagan laughed. "Actually, Jay and I finally confessed our feelings for each other and we're going to Cotillion together."

Emma started to laugh but when she realized that Teagan wasn't laughing with her, she stopped. "Wait, you're being serious? You and Jay are seriously a thing? Hold the-" She squealed and ran into her friends arms.

"I know it's exciting!" Teagan smiled into her friend's shoulder. "You're the first person I have told.. Well, we haven't really been a thing for longer than ten minutes, so...."

"I think this is great, Teag! You needed something good to happen to you, and I am just so proud!"

"Thank you, Em." Teagan responded. "I also need to tell my parents, and that should be the interesting one."

"Is he coming to Cotillion? Since he is best friends with the former King? Or did he not get invited because he was a former villain?"

"Considering that the lady of the court is Mal, who is Maleficent's daughter, I think my father is the least of their worries. Until they piss him off then they will have a problem," Teagan laughed. "Sorry, was that not funny? I've realized that my jokes don't always come out as funny, and I apologize for that."

"I have grown to love your dark humor." Emma stated. "So, is your father coming or not?"

"I believe he is, but Belle isn't because they didn't want to confuse our Belle with your Belle." Teagan replied. "That was a sentence that I never thought I would ever say," she laughed. "What have I missed in the last day?"

"Sierra is dragging James' ass to court."

"What?"

"Apparently you were the inspiration for this and she wants to make sure that no one goes through what she went through with James. That was what she said in her video on Youtube last night."

"Huh.. Never saw that coming." Teagan replied. "I guess go off Sierra. I hope that he gets what's coming for him. I just hope that he knows how much damage he has caused me and Sierra."

"I think he's going to have to realize how shitty he's been when he finally lost you both." Emma stated.

"You know, I just realized how much I have rubbed off on you. I don't think Rapunzel and Eugene would be very happy with your language, right now."

"You don't know how often my parents swear.." Emma laughed. "I don't think they ever realize that I can hear them yelling at each other."

"Why are they yelling?"

"Because my mom doesn't understand why my father went back to stealing things. She doesn't understand that she left him no choice. My mother is putting our kingdom in debt and my father is just trying to get some money to put food on the table; he may not be doing it the right way, but he's doing a whole lot more than my mom."

"I'm sorry that I never knew about your family problems, Em." Teagan stated. "And I am the one person who understands what you're going through. My father did the same thing but he got magic instead of money. He wanted to protect my brother, but in return, my brother left the Enchanted Forest. Power comes with a price, and your father will have to pay the price sooner or later."
