Chapter 42

And that's when Evie grabbed Ben's wrist and pulled him away. Teagan heard Gil excitedly say, "Oooo Uma's going to love this."

That's when her breathing started becoming uneven and before she knew it, she was seeing stars and then collapsed on the ground.

It took her friends a good two-three minutes before they even realized that Teagan wasn't with them. Carlos was the first to realize that their friend wasn't there, and he notified the rest of the group, and they ran back to try and find Teagan.

"Oh my god!" Jay exclaimed when he saw Teagan laying on the ground unconscious. He picked her up bridal style, and they started walking towards their place on the Isle; the one place that they knew that Mal would be.

Once they arrived at their old place, Jay laid Teagan up against the wall, and walked back over to his other friends, and chucked a rock at a sign, and the gate that was blocking the stairs, opened up.

Jay, Evie and Carlos wished Ben good luck, and told him to go all the way up the stairs. Jay then looked over at Teagan and saw that she was now awake.

He kneeled down in front of her and sighed, "You scared us, Teag. Are you okay? You were out for quite awhile." 

"Yeah, I'm fine. Did Ben go up to see Mal?" Teagan questioned, using her hands to push herself up more.

"Yes he did. That boy needs some serious luck," Jay laughed, he put a strand of her hair behind her ear, and quickly moved his hand back, and apologized.

"It's okay." She responded. "You can go back over to the group. I'm getting up."

"You sure? You had a pretty nasty fall, and you-"

"Jay." She interrupted. "I am fine. I just had a severe panic attack and fainted, but I promise you that I'm okay."

"Alright." He said as he got off of his knee and walked back over to the group.

Teagan, on the other hand, tried using her own strength to get off the ground, but that didn't work out for her. She used her hands to get herself up on her knees, and then she put her arms around a pole- that was right in front of her- and pulled herself up.

"Damn... I really need to go to the gym or something. My strength is just not there apparently." Teagan stated to herself.

She walked over to the rest of her group and she was just in time to see Ben walking down the stairs- without Mal.

"Well that went as well as I expected." Teagan said to herself. "At least his argument didn't end in him getting in an awkward staring contest with her mother... Then again he might have done that... Hold up... Maleficent is a lizard..... Scratch that."

"T," Evie put her hand on Teagan's shoulder to get her attention, "Can you please watch Ben while we try and reason with Mal?"

"I guess." Teagan agreed. She huffed and walked over to where she last saw Ben- in the alley way- but he wasn't there. "Ben.. This isn't funny."

She started walking further down the alley but she didn't see him and was about to go back to her group, but someone yanked her arm to the side.

"You missed me?" Is what she heard before a bag covered her head.
