"She isn't here, James. She went back to the Enchanted Forest to be with her dad. You pushed her away. Well done." Evie stated to James.
"No, you're lying." James responded. "She wouldn't leave you and the rest of her friends. That just doesn't sound like her."
"I don't think you have any right to be mad." Mal stated, hearing the whole conversation. "Teagan was in a very delicate place and your dumb comment didn't exactly make things easier."
"I was coming here to apologize," James pushed by Evie and walked into the room. "She seriously couldn't have left. You guys are just covering for her."
"Well, I thought that Ben would have told you that Fairy Godmother sent her back, but I guess he was just too much of a chicken to do it." Mal laughed. "But we're being serious. She missed her dad and wanted to go back to him."
"Is she ever coming back?" James questioned.
"We don't know." Evie responded. "We would love it if she would, but we have no idea if she would want to come back," she paused, "With everything that happened here and the crap she was put through on the Isle.... We don't blame her if she just stays there."
"Was she even telling the truth about what happened on the Isle? She could be lying about the whole thing."
Mal got up from her bed and walked over to James, and slapped him across the face.
"You're the big reason why she left." Mal stated. "How could you even say that about her? You said that you love her, but you haven't shown her that you do. All you do is make her cry, and rethink living in this world. Do you have any idea how depressed she is because of you?"
"I-" James cut himself off. "I don't know what to say to that. I never meant to drive her away.. I was just hurt that she spelled me."
"She didn't mean to!" Mal screamed. "I spelled Ben and you accidentally ate the cookie that I made for him. Teagan was covering for me. She didn't want to blow our cover, and since you're a guardian it doesn't work on you."
"How do you know that?"
"Teagan." Evie responded. "You remember that panic attack she had during Coronation? You watched that happen and you didn't help, why?"
"Because it looked like you had it under control." James stated.
"I remember when you were so in love with Teagan that you would help her in any situation. You were always by her side." Mal commented. "You haven't been that guy in days, and you know that."
"I'm trying to be better." James said. "I want to be better for her, but she just makes me so angry all the time."
"She makes you angry?" Evie questioned. "That isn't love, James. Maybe you used to be in love but you've let anger cloud your other emotions, and now you lost yourself. You need to take care of yourself before you go near Teagan. She can't have another unstable person in her life."
"She didn't even tell me that she loves me until it was too late." James responded. "Why couldn't she say it from the beginning?"
"It wouldn't have changed the fact that you ended up hurting her. You can't expect someone with trust issues to reveal how they feel right away, and good thing she didn't."
"Why does she even have trust issues?"
"Beats me." Evie commented. "She never really talked about her past life, but all she said that she missed her dad every day."
