Taylor's POV
"Can you sit with Mama, Ro?" We're nearly at the end of the ten hour flight to Paris and Rosie is getting antsy. August hasn't left my arms since we took off - he isn't the biggest fan of the plane so he's been really unsettled. "Hey, Rosie Posie, come and give me some cuddles and we'll let mommy put Auggie to sleep," I've been pacing with August for a while, trying to get him to sleep before we land so I can put him down. "Thank you, baby," Rosie goes to Karlie and I give her a sweet smile as the model lifts the little one onto her lap.
We're staying in Paris for the week and then spending a night at Disneyland and I'm super excited about it but one thing I didn't think about was having little ones and jet lag. It's a seven hour time difference so it's going to be a nightmare - we left at lunchtime so it's 10pm back home but as we land in France it's probably going to be nearly 6am. Rosie slept a little on the flight when it hit her bedtime, but that didn't last long and now we're hours past it and she's full of energy again but Kar and I are exhausted, I'm just grateful my parents are joining us tomorrow.
"Why don't we watch some Sofia, monkey," Karlie takes Rosie's headphones out of her little backpack and plugs them into her laptop as it sits open in front of them. Karlie occupies Ro so I keep walking up and down the aisle with August cuddled against my chest, humming gently to try and lull him to sleep. "Alright, sweet boy," I kiss his little face before sitting back down, the baby finally sleeping.
Rosie is cuddled into her Mama as I carefully put August back into his car seat and as soon as he's settled I sink down into the seat beside them, dropping my head to Karlie's shoulder as I sigh. "At least this time I get to be tired on a beach," she laughs too as I smile, my eyes focused on the cartoon playing on Karlie's laptop, "we'll get through it, baby." She presses a kiss to my forehead and I sigh, I'm already exhausted but I'm so happy to get a week with my loves making happy memories.
Karlie's POV
"It's beautiful, right?" I smile as I wrap my arms around Taylor's waist, the blonde looking out at the view of the Bay of Cannes in the morning light. "It's gorgeous," she smiles as she looks up to me and I kiss her cheek. We arrived early this morning and luckily both kids decided a few hours sleep was on the cards but now it's 10am and Rosie is wide awake and ready to go. "Mommy, can we go in the water now?" Rosie runs out onto the balcony and Taylor laughs as she moves out of my arms, "soon, honey, we've got to have breakfast first."
She picks the five year old up and carries her as we walk back inside, August content in his dock-a-tot in the middle of the bed. Taylor sent security out to source some pastries so those are waiting downstairs and we're curious to see what Ro thinks since we don't think she has ever tried something like this. "Alright, little monkey," Taylor passes Rosie over so that she can pick up August and I kiss her cheek, the little girl talking so excitedly about everything Tay and I would probably have overlooked.
The four of us head downstairs and Ro is super excited as I sit her on one of the barstools in the kitchen. She has to use a booster at the dinner table at home so a stool is a bonus to her. "Coffee, babe?" I look over my shoulder to Taylor and the blonde smirks as she meets my eyes, "keep it coming." I grab a couple of mugs from the cabinet and pour us both some coffee as the singer hands Rosie a croissant.
"Are you excited to go in the pool, ladybug?" August's dock has been moved to the countertop so Taylor has free hands as she eats her breakfast and Rosie is a bubbly little ball of energy. "Will you come in with me, Mama?" I laugh as I sit down on the other side of my sweet girl, "of course, honey," she's always been scared of the pool at home but something about being somewhere new makes it exciting for her. "Can Auggie go in the pool?" I look to Taylor as Ro asks the question and the blonde frowns, "I'm not sure, monkey, we'll wait and see." Neither of us has done this before so we're not sure about the situation with the little guy and the pool, he might be too small to do something like that.
