Taylor's POV
"Are you really sure about this, Tay?" Karlie and I booked our trip and we're supposed to be flying out to France on Monday but Karlie needs to be in New York until Sunday for a last minute thing. We were going to just fly out separately but I'm not sure how I'll handle both little ones alone on a ten hour flight alone since my parents aren't flying out till Tuesday, so the most logical option would be spending the weekend in New York and then flying out to France as a family. "No, but I'd rather face the press for a few minutes than spend a long flight alone with the little monsters," I smile to myself as I look down to Rosie sleeping in my arms.
We wanted to get into the apartment without prying eyes hanging around so it's nearly dark out as we're leaving Nashville. It's past Ro's bedtime and she had a long day hanging out with my parents so that we could make last minute arrangements and she fell asleep in the car on the way to the waiting plane. "The jet lag is going to be an experience with these two," Karlie chuckles as she looks into August's car seat and I nod, we've grown to deal with it through our careers but Rosie and August are probably going to be grouchy for a few days.
"But Auntie Gigi and Auntie Cara are super excited to meet you little monsters, hmm? There are so many people who have been dying to meet you and your sister, Auggie," I smile as she speaks to the sleeping baby, our friends have been nagging us about meeting the kids for weeks so that's one bonus about going to New York. "We're going to be landing soon, I don't know if I should wake her and try and get her into her own seat," Rosie has spent the entire two hour flight in my arms and I don't really wanna wake her, if I leave her sleeping then we might be able to get her into the car and then into the apartment and straight to bed. "I think she's fine where she is, there hasn't been any turbulence or anything," Rosie looks so peaceful in my arms so I nod in agreement, kissing her little face as I smile at my sweet girl.
Karlie and I make quiet conversation until security come to let us know that we're about to land. The model makes sure August is buckled up properly and I keep my arms wrapped tightly around Rosie as she sleeps with her head on my chest. Once we're safely on the ground, security leads us off of the plane and Karlie deals with August as I carry Rosie, keeping my girl in my arms until I get her into the car - safely buckled up and content with Avie in her hands.
I ride in the back beside the kids so that I can give Auggie his bottle and stop him kicking off before we get to the apartment and Karlie sits in the front beside security with another car of security following us. We don't have to worry so much in Nashville but New York is all new territory and I have to make sure that the kids are safe while we're here.
Ro stays asleep until we're at the apartment but August isn't so happy. Once we're parked, Karlie gets out and takes Rosie out of her seat, the little girl starting to wake up a little as Karlie lifts her. I cover August's car seat so that he's out of view and quickly follow behind my girlfriend and daughter as we make our way inside and off of the street, luckily with no paparazzi around - at least none that we can see. I just hope we don't get swarmed.
Karlie's POV
"Where are her pyjamas?" We didn't wanna worry about bringing a lot of stuff with us so our assistants were tasked with stocking the apartment with the things that the kids need. "Urm, here," Taylor talks quietly as she grabs a set from the dresser and hands them to me, "I'm going to go and try and put this little guy down," I nod as she sways with August in her arms, "be good for mommy and go to bed, sweet boy," I kiss his little face and then pull Taylor into a kiss, "whoever finishes first chooses what we watch," she gasps and narrows her eyes at me, "game on, Kloss."
