"Thank you for this, mom," I give her a soft smile as I put August down in the playpen in her living room. "Of course, sweetheart, I'm always happy to put in some time with my grandbabies," she looks over to Ro with a smile as the little blonde plays with Kitty, "are the girls okay?" I nod as I cross my arms, "Lil came home yesterday, I think she had a bug, but she was doing better this morning so she's gone to stay with Nia for the weekend." The teen looked a lot better after a good night of sleep, and when she said she was going to her girlfriend's, we didn't have a reason to say no since her temperature was normal too. "And Karlie..." I sigh, not totally sure what to say.

"She hasn't been feeling great lately, but with the kids to chase all day she hasn't really had the time to let her body get over it and it's floored her," I make something up because I can't tell the truth, and luckily my mom seems to buy it. "You've both been so busy lately, we really should make this a more regular thing. I don't get enough time with my grandbabies and you girls don't get enough time to yourselves," I nod in agreement, she's definitely right about that, "I think that would be nice," I laugh as I watch my babies happily playing without a care.

We talk for a bit and I confirm that she's good with having a big family dinner on Monday night. My dad and brother will be in town, plus our closest friends out here are coming - so it's going to be intimate which is more on scale for how Kar and I wanna handle things for now. We won't get to tell her family in person this week, but we are planning a trip out to New York to visit them in a couple of weeks, so we just have to keep it quiet a little longer after Monday.

I kiss my babies goodbye and tell them to have fun with their Grammy, Rosie totally unbothered by me leaving when I go.

Karlie was still asleep when I left, she had a long night and needed the sleep so I left her in bed with a note on her nightstand so she didn't worry if she woke up before I got back. Lilah was aware that I was taking the kids to my moms, but she'll already be at Antonia's by the time I get back. With my babies in their Grammy's care, I decide to quickly go into Target and grab some things for Kar, to try and make her feel a little better.

It's rare that I ever go into a store myself, I always have someone with me if not someone from my security team. I decide that's it's worth the risk though because I'm not going to be long. I have my sunglasses, one of Karlie's caps and I'm already dressed as low-key as possible, so hopefully nobody notices me.

- Karlie -

When I wake up the bed beside me is empty, which is unusual these days because I'm the early riser and Taylor likes to get every second of sleep she can. I move to push myself up, and the dull ache in my pelvis and back brings back the events of the day before.

I sigh as I push myself out of bed and go towards the bathroom, the babies weighing on my bladder almost instantly.

I stand in front of the mirror for a second after washing my hands, observing my figure in the mirror and feeling a little lump in my throat as I rest my hand on my little bump. "You two have got to stay right where you are until you're all strong and squishy, okay? You've got so many people who are waiting to love you." I push away any negative thoughts and leave the bathroom, going to find my phone and finding a note from Taylor on top of it - informing me that she was taking the kids to her mom's and she wouldn't be long.

I sit it back down as I then pick up my phone, scrolling a little to see what emails and messages I've missed - even though I informed everyone that I'd be unreachable for a few days.

"You're up, I was gonna come and wake you," I didn't even hear Taylor come home, but she walks into the bedroom as I answer some messages from my family and friends. "Yeah, I saw your note," I give her a soft smile as she sits down beside me, "how were the little ones going to your mom?" She shakes her head as she rolls her eyes, "they couldn't care less, Ro was more interested in Kitty than anything else." I smile as I nod, Ro has been animal obsessed for ages so that doesn't surprise me.
