"Come on, Roo," I smile at my little sister as I help her out of the car, "be good, Rosie!" Mom calls to her as I close the back door, "yes, mama," Rosie rolls her eyes and I shake my head, laughing at her. "We'll see you at the end of the day, send me pictures, yeah?" Karlie nods, "you be good too, no more winding up your principal, alright?" It's my turn to roll my eyes now too as I spot Nia coming towards us, "yes, mama."
My moms have an appointment this morning and they're getting to see the baby for the first time.
I did try and talk them into letting me go with them, but I've got so much on with school and extracurriculars that it just wasn't reasonable."Good morning," I pull Nia into a kiss as she comes to my side and she smiles against my lips as Rosie makes disgusted noises beside us, "have those girls given you any more trouble?" Nia raises her eyebrows at the little girl as we walk Rosie to her classroom, "no, they haven't come near me," the little blonde shrugs and I frown as I observe her arm - it still makes me mad that these kids could be so vile as to do this to a girl who's years younger than them.
"Have fun, monkey," I kiss the top of her head as I stop outside her classroom and she smiles up at me, "love you, lilah," I smile back at her as I ruffle her hair, "love you too, Rosie Roo."
She goes inside so I take Nia's hand and we head to our first class. "Did you finish the assignment for Jackson's class?" I sigh as I nod, "I was up late finishing it but it's done." She squeezes my hand, she knows how much I've got on my plate trying to get through all of the classes I need to take this year.
"Just take it day by day and try not to get too overwhelmed," I nod, giving her a soft smile as we walk into the classroom and take our seats. These days just seem to get longer and longer, but it'll all be worth it in the end.

"Alright, buddy, are you ready?" I coo at August as I stand in his door to lift him out of the car. We haven't told Ro she's going to have a new baby brother or sister yet, but we didn't have any choice but to bring Auggie to the appointment with us. Plus, the little guy is too young to even understand what's going on - never mind tell anyone.
I hold him on my hip as Karlie comes to our side, the model lacing her fingers through mine as we head into the clinic. She did school drop off while I got Auggie ready for the day and then she came back to pick us up.
The receptionist greets us and then we take a seat in the waiting area, Kar trying to distract Auggie with a toy but the little guy isn't really interested.
"Taylor, Karlie - it's nice to see you again," we get up as Dr King walks into the waiting area, "oh my, this little guy has gotten so big," she smiles at Auggie as I hold him - we haven't had to bring him to any appointments in a while. "He turned one a couple of months ago and he's been growing up so much ever since," I laugh as I kiss his little cheek, Karlie holding my hand as we follow the doctor back to an exam room.
Kar takes a seat and I hold Auggie in my lap as I give him my keys to play with, and Dr King sits at the desk with her usual clipboard of questions.
Karlie goes through the symptoms she's been experiencing, nothing out of the ordinary, and then it's just the same questions about her diet and stress levels, etc. which Karlie answers without even thinking about.
"Are you ready to see your little one?" She gives us a warm smile and Karlie takes a deep breath as she nods, laying back as she reaches for my hand but Auggie gets to her first - holding her hand in both of his as Karlie smiles at our boy.
