Taylor's POV
Having Karlie home always has its many benefits but I've never been more grateful for a night's sleep in my life - or the events that transpired before it. She kept to her word and got up for every night feed and diaper change with August and she didn't complain once, but I have a feeling she wasn't going to get much sleep anyway. She has so much patience for Rosie and August, especially in the middle of the night when I'm at my most irritable, but she's always amazing about it, even though she's been having it harder than most of us at night lately.
"Do you think we'll have much time?" Karlie chuckles as she holds me against her chest and I glance up to the clock beside the bed, "not a chance, Ro is like clockwork in the morning, plus she knows that her mama is home today." I press a gentle kiss to her chest and Karlie smiles, "I missed my little monkey." They spoke every day but Rosie is definitely her mama's girl, she loves Karlie more than anyone else.
"I told you," I chuckle as I push myself up, already hearing little feet coming along the hallway, "Good morning, miss Ro," I smile as she peeks around the door and the second she spots Karlie she darts towards the bed. "Hey sweetheart," Karlie wraps the five year old up in her arms and I smile as I watch the two, the love they have for each other is so sweet. August starts to fuss in his bassinet so I retrieve him and bring him into the bed with us, the little guy cuddled up against my chest as I lay my head on Karlie's shoulder.
I love these moments with them, they're the loves of my life and I could never ask for anything more, they're my everything.
"Alright, breakfast time," Karlie gets up out of bed, lifting Rosie up with her and making the five year old giggle as she throws her over her shoulder, "mama! Stop!" Ro kicks her legs as Karlie spins her around and then plops her back down on the bed. "Why don't you go with mommy and wake Aunty Sel and then you can help me make breakfast, yeah? I might even have a little surprise for you downstairs." She kisses Rosie's cheek and Ro nods, "can we have waffles, mama?" Karlie chuckles as she nods, "if you want waffles then you get waffles."
The model pulls me up to my feet as I smirk, kissing her lips before handing August over. "I'll change him and make his bottle," I nod in agreement and she kisses me again before heading downstairs.
"Alright, missy, let's go and wake up aunty Selly," Rosie takes my hand as she carries Avie and we walk down the hall to wake Selena. I knock on the door and wait a minute, receiving no response. "Sel?" I call out as I laugh, waiting another minute and still getting nothing. I push the door open, thinking that she's just in a deep sleep, but the bed is empty. I frown as I look around, sighing as soon as I hear noise coming from the bathroom. "Alright, bug, can you go back to mama for me? Tell her that Aunty Selly isn't feeling very well so we'll be a minute or two."
Rosie nods and then goes downstairs to Karlie as I knock on the bathroom door, "Selena, I'm coming in." I give her a brief warning before I walk in but I don't get any arguments as I kneel on the tile floor at her side. I brush my fingers through her hair as I sigh, pulling it back into a hair tie. "It's alright, it's better to get it all out," I rub her back as she leans against the toilet.
I wait as she throws up, rubbing small circles on her back. Eventually she moves away and I close the lid and flush away the contents before handing her tissue to wipe her mouth. Selena sighs as she holds her head in her hands and I raise an eyebrow, "everything's fine, huh?" She rolls her eyes as she groans, the brunette shaking her head. "So as far as I can tell there's three rational explanations for this," she looks up as she waits for me to elaborate and I give her a sympathetic smile, "you could have some kind of bug but I don't think that's it. So either you're relapsing with your Lupus and your kidneys are playing up again or you're pregnant."
